Herida (Esp/ Eng)

English
Time has passed and I thought I knew myself
a lot of water has flowed through the roads of my life
I thought that I had covered all my exits, my wounds
That many of them were overcome
but I've only realized that they were dormant
under the passing of the years, but as latent as a newborn's heart
as the heart of a newborn baby
It was only enough to stir those memories
a similar tragedy close to me for my tears to overflow in a sea of tears
overflowed in an uncontrollable sea
of sad memories and heartfelt bitterness.
I felt the pain of those nightmarish days
as if it was just happening to me again
there are wounds of war, that at the slightest touch
bleed again like the first day
That are there reminding us that we are human
that we never fully know ourselves
nor what we keep inside
how fragile we sometimes are!
That time passes and with it many things
some are overcome and others remain frozen
reminding us of our humanity and fragility
There are memories that are kept in our souls
That are there to remind us of our humanity
to make us realize that there are wounds that mark us
like a wrought iron, red-hot
that only sleep sometimes deeply
and that when they wake up they come with a hurricane
of feelings, submerged in nostalgia.
my wound, go back to sleep, you hurt like the first day!

Me encantan.
