In

TuoMuseo
the clever idea of using an Archaeological Museum, as a backdrop, to develop a video game where art merges harmoniously with human or interpersonal relationships, giving life to a highly captivating story between Father and Son.

The death of his father Francisco, has left Michael immersed in an uncertainty of resentments and unanswered questions. The roots of his anger could be portrayed in one of the songs of the Italian-Venezuelan singer-songwriter Franco De Vita. Whose verse I quote below;

All because of the "damned work". And time" (De Vita, F.(1991). Not Enough [song]. In Foreign. Sony Discos).

Before his death, Francisco has asked Michael, in a letter, to visit the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, where his life's work as an archaeologist has been recorded. Michael decides to enter the gallery in search of answers. It is the last hope, that our young artist and protagonist has, to find some inner peace, and to get to understand in depth the life of his father.

Thanks to the intuitive placement of the controls (right side and left side of our touch screen) we will be able to enjoy, together with Michael, 50 minutes of time travel, between the past of ancient civilizations, and his current journey through the museum's exhibits. This contrast marks the beginning of a special approach to the way of being that characterized Francisco, through his cultural legacy. We will be able to interact throughout the game map, just by pressing each new button that appears in our journey. The translation of Father and Son, to 10 different languages, will allow us to choose the one that best helps us to enrich our game experience.

Father and Son
is a graphic adventure, designed in 2D, capable of igniting, by means of its excellent well cared graphics, all that curiosity for Art, that in my humble opinion, all human beings carry inside. An exquisite walk through Culture and its sublime way of regulating, to a great extent, interpersonal relationships. Simply a universal story delicately embellished to exalt the great work done by men and women of culture around the world.

This is a very complete videogame, all its sections are intertwined and complement each other. Every detail has been taken care of to the millimeter, with nothing missing or over. The images, the animations, the extraordinary story and its profound message go hand in hand with the excellent musical selection. It is a marvelous bet on sound excellence that has fit like a glove. We can only congratulate this soundtrack that, in simple words, has hit the mark.

How many of us have not had to go in search of "oneself" at some time in our lives!?... Rummaging and rummaging until we are satisfied with the arguments put forward by a loved one to justify this or that behavior, which has hurt or disturbed us for a long time. It was Erich Fromm (an outstanding psychoanalyst, social psychologist and humanist philosopher of Jewish-German origin) who said in 1959, in his work The Art of Loving; that love is an art and that as a good art it requires effort, discipline and time to develop... Likewise, human relationships are the art of getting along well, first with oneself and then with others.
Harmonization and empathy for effectively communicating what we need from each other should govern our behavior. We need to have the fortitude, courage and humility to deal with all our "unfinished business" without delay,

while life is still with us
.

(Father) I was once like you are now
And I know that it's not easy
To be calm when you've found something going on
But take your time, think a lot Why, think of everything you've got
For you will still be here tomorrow
But your dreams may not
(Stevens, C.(1970). "Father and Son" [song] In Tea for the Tillerman. Island Records).

Thank you very much for reading and supporting me.

Until my next post.

En

TuoMuseo

Screenshot_20221023-081418.png

La muerte de su padre Francisco, ha dejado a Michael inmerso en una incertidumbre de resentimientos y preguntas sin respuestas. Las raíces de su enfado podrían estar retratadas en una de las canciones del cantautor Italo-Venezolano Franco De Vita. Cuyo verso cito a continuación;

"Todo por culpa del "maldito trabajo". Y del tiempo" (De Vita, F.(1991). No Basta [canción]. En Extranjero. Sony Discos).

The storyline seems amazing. Reminds me of a game named Inside. Even though Inside was a game of fight and adventure. But, they have so many things in common. I liked how you explained the story, it made the game more interesting. The game sure has a complete storyline and the graphics look nice. And your post design made reading the post more interesting.

Lately I've seen a lot of artists involved in this kind of games. All of them manage to do a splendid job, and even if their games are not of a very flashy niche, most of them who do enjoy graphic stories value the game a lot. I listened to the soundtrack and liked it a lot.

Thank you very much dear @perceval for your accurate comment.

Yes, visual novels are a genre of video games that has a particular group of audience or followers. However, sometimes we find works that, in the case of Father and Son, address issues of greater impact, which can achieve the attention of an important universe of lovers of other genres of games.

I think they are works of art of anthology. With an impressive load of optimism.

Best regards!
