Of Tears (The Book of Agony) : A Poetry On Nigerian Situation.

Our stretch for good things
The thirst for a better country
Hunger for a beloved nations
dream for a first-world economy
the vision of a true giant of Africa
All brought us this far
The hope of a new land
The tears of dead unjust souls.
...
...
First was an agitation
second was a protest
A gathering here and there
of youth and angry populace
The aged were tired too
we are not moving forward either
The promises all left unkept
trust dashed on the line of corruption
campaign goals not achieved
We wait if at least they'll change
tears were what ended it.
...
...
Kidnapping in the north
Killing in the west
The human in us starts turning beast
Beastly one going demonic
Death preys on even the strong
Torture avails the just
Righteous ones are scared
The end is near
Of a one beloved nation
a tear rolled down the cheeks of affected families.
...
...
who will dare save a dying man
How do we win a lost battle
can a messiah truly come?
save us, bail us out
has one been born
King of the black race?
where do we find
The most righteous and worthy
How do we know, that One
Way to bring him in on the throne
all plans have failed in times past
They are still failing now
Hopeless are we, aggrieved we become
The tear wont stop rolling.
