This damn rain that doesn't stop is flooding my soul, and just moving my fingers on this keyboard allows me to mitigate, even minimally, the methodical and exhaustive sound of its drops falling on everything around me. I don't even know what I'm writing, nor do I care. The only thing that matters is to silence this rain that seeps through the walls, that creeps between the furniture and gradually creates lakes around me.

My fingers hit the keyboard hard, which, like a fire, keeps away the beasts, the waters that slowly weave cobwebs around me. I feel the first drop fall on my shoulder and try to climb up my neck to my ear. A flurry of ellipses gets her away, but she won't be the last to try to sink this island of sound that I build with my fingers.

I look around me and waterfalls surround me, and behind them shadows that lie in wait like wolves waiting for the moment to pounce on me. The light starts blinking and my computer shuts down, but I keep typing without a care. Suddenly the darkness, and from it hundreds of eyes stalk me. They are like a constellation of daggers ready to plunge into me.

I watch them dance around me, while the buttons on the keyboard start to come off, and my tired fingers cry blood. My breath hitches. Tiredness is great. And the sweat on my body betrays me and begins to attack me. Defying gravity, it rises into my eyes, blinding me. It goes up my nose trying to suffocate me. Suddenly, lightning strikes, illuminating everything, illuminating everyone.

I am surrounded. Lost. I am a bubble in the middle of the water. A bubble that expands and contracts to the rhythm of my finger typing, as if breathing, as if it were an extension of me. At that moment a tear, as if it were an emissary in search of a truce, floats slowly in the air and stops inches from my face. I look for my reflection in it, and there is nothing, only the light passing through the water that surrounds me. At that moment I remember everything, I understand everything... it's time to leave.
