Traveling to Jotunheim, the highest peak of all realms.

Today, I'm going to show some special moments from my God of War play in this post where I'll talk about our journey back to the summit to travel to Jotunheim but this episode has a great twist at the end.

After Atreus finished off Modi, we ran towards the heart of the mountain to get to the summit taking the same path and Kratos was worried that Baldur can't be far as Modi found us. The arrogant kid was now saying its good cause he had some words for Baldur as well.

Now we didn't have previous option to get up to the summit so we had to find a way to go up and there I found a hidden chamber of Odin and there was Eir, a Valkyrie whom I started attacking and found her a little weak at first but no she was also tough and I spared her, lol.

We came back and found this elevator that I could use now after burning some obstacles using Blades of Chaos that I couldn't do the previous time I was there as I didn't have this weapon with me before.

Now we had to continue towards the Summit and I was enjoying the view of the heart of the mountain where I was fighting bunch of monsters a moment ago.

We were going up and the kid started asking questions, bunch of them. Like-

  • Where did I get my fire blades (Blades of Chaos)?
  • Why did I hide them?
  • Kratos said there are consequences to killing a god so did he used these blades to kill one?
  • Who else did he kill before Magni?

After all these questions, Kratos didn't answer any and said these are not subject to discussion and asked the boy not to push him.

And the boy then was mimicking saying to Mimir that he's learned everything he needs to and he doesn't have anything else to learn now.

The elevator was stopped at a certain point and there were some monsters waiting for us where Atreus ran to even after Kratos shouted at him to stop. The kid started being more arrogant now.

We had to keep fighting the monsters as they kept coming and then when we were on our way, Atreus has found a treasure map that we might try find later sometime.

There was this Frost Ancient giant sleeping somewhere and Atreus ran towards it to take it down even when Kratos was asking him to wait but the boy was not listening to anything that Kratos was asking or saying.

Taking down the Frost Ancient was not that easy as it had power inside that could kill me in a moment and it even killed me once there. I tried to be stay away from it in my next try so it can't kill me again.

And we were at the summit once more and this time we have the chisel which will give us access to travel to Jotunheim after opening the bridge and this time there was no monster on this path although we had a good fight with a group of monsters a moment ago before we reached this point.

After climbing to the summit, I was looking at the body of Mimir and I guessed he'd get his body back this time but there was nothing like that.

Using the chisel, I opened the bridge to Jotunheim after striking on the door there just like I do with the secret doors of hidden chambers of Odin.

And there was the bridge and the highest peak of all realms, Jotunheim. Before going in, they were watching the beautiful place, well, Mimir was saying its beautiful though I don't se any beauty in it.

Our journey to Jotunheim was paused again as there came Baldur at the moment before we could set our foot in Jotunheim and he started attacking me hard in the cinematic.

Kratos asked Atreus to run and get on the bridge but the boy said, "No, I'm a god too, I can do this" and started shooting arrows towards Baldur and Baldur needed a single punch to teach the kid a good lesson. I wish Kratos did it long before.

Now when Baldur was attacking Kratos continuously, our hero stopped him at a point and started teaching him a lesson but to do that, Kratos did a great mistake and broke the only gate that can take them to Jotunheim.

Now the boy wanted to fight Baldur and Kratos was stopping him as he was not ready while Baldur was enjoying the scene and the arrogant kid then shot a pruma arrow towards the heart of Kratos. The boy shot his own father because he is too arrogant.

Getting the arrow, Kratos became weak and the kid tried to fight Baldur but the kid was a kid, man. I wish to give him a tight slap now. A little brat kid.

Making him unconscious, Baldur took him and jumped from the summit into thin air and Kratos somehow managed to get rid of the arrow but they're gone already. What do you think will happen next? Can I save the boy? Well, I'd just ignore saving the brat kid but the concept is about saving him.

We'll check what happens next in another post.

I'll try to talk about more special moments soon from my play in God of War or maybe from other games.

End of the post.
Peace.

Yes, he's a hard one to crack and I don't know if he's crack-able. Maybe someone immortal in the concept.

Was letting the Valkyrie go a wise thing to do or it was a part of the main storyline? And as I recall seeing some gameplay, Baldur was killed at the beginning of the game. How did he come to fight after all this time? And man, that boy seriously needs some beating to put the arrogance out of him. Hope you will be able to rescue Atreus.

I was confused about that for sometime but someone else said these are not part of the storyline so there shouldn't be any problem.

Baldur was killed at the beginning of the game.

He was not killed at the beginning. He was just defeated for the moment and became weak. Now he's back with more power and I don't see how he'll be killed cause no matter how hard Kratos hits him, he just comes back. I even killed a son of Thor but couldn't kill this thin man.

Damn, he seems like a tough guy not being dead after all this. Hope you can kill him somehow and rescue Atreus. Maybe you will get some special weapon/ability while following the storyline. Good luck to you.

I feels the angriness of a father in this story. The arrogant side of Atreus is what really, one day, will make him grown. Luckily the arrow didn't hit Kratos to the dead xD. But still, it's a bad attitude.

I remember my kid didn't listen to me this one time, I said don't jump into the 6 feet pool, but he didn't listen and jump in anyway. He is eagerly to show me that he can swim. He just 9 year old at that time. Lucky I am nearby, and manage to save him. It's not like he can't swim, but he started to panic after his feet doesn't hit the floor. So, from that moment, his alertness to my word has increase drastically.

Baldur might see something golden in that kid, and took him away for his own. That's just my saying, I never played the game before. Yeah, of course you will save him, Kratos might angry about the kid's bratness, but deep down he wish him to grow stronger and better than him. Love them both. !LUV

Right.

I remember my kid didn't listen to me this one time.

I'm not a father yet so I don't know how not get angry on those situations XD

Baldur might see something golden in that kid, and took him away for his own.

I guess he took the kid so the father follows him to Asgard.
