The tragic end of Owen and Mel.

Ellie's confrontation at the aquarium turned deadly when Owen and Mel resisted, resulting in their brutal deaths. The discovery of Mel's pregnancy left Ellie in a state of deep psychological shock.

After being rescued by Tommy and Jesse, she returned to the theater but soon resumed her hunt for Abby.

When Mel was cooperating with Ellie, the situation took a sudden and violent turn as Owen went for her gun. In the heat of the moment, I had to watch as Ellie pulled the trigger and shot Owen to maintain control, leaving him bleeding on the floor.

Seeing this, Mel got wild and she attacked Ellie with a knife. It was a close quarters fight where every second mattered for survival. I had to help Ellie survive this attack.

Eventually resulting in a brutal counter where Ellie put the knife through Mel's throat to finish her.

Ellie went for Owen, and while Owen was dying, he was saying something with a low voice that seemed to haunt her. Her eyes filled with a mix of shock and horror at the carnage she had just caused.

Ellie ran to Mel, who had already died from the throat wound. She unzipped the jacket of Mel just to discover Mel was pregnant, a sight that immediately changed the weight of her actions.

Ellie started feeling bad after knowing what she just did, as she was not that bad to kill someone with a baby in her stomach. The weight of the trauma hit her all at once, and she was acting like she would throw up right there.

Then suddenly, someone came over, and Ellie instinctively pointed out her gun at the doorway. It was Tommy and Jesse who had finally arrived to save her. They saw the blood and the bodies, realizing that Ellie was in a state of total shock.

Tommy said it's okay and dragged Ellie out of that place, trying to get her away from the scene. As they left the room, the camera lingered on the aftermath, where only the bloodied map and the bloodstain of Mel remained on the floor.

The next scene took place back at the theater where Ellie was laying beside Dina, seeking some comfort after the horrors she had endured at the aquarium.

Though the comfort of the theater was there, Ellie couldn't relax for long. She stood up and she grabbed her gear, preparing to end her journey and join the gang to get back to Jackson.
