Hola amigos viajeros, feliz día! Espero que se encuentren super bien y que estén aprovechando al máximo sus vacaciones. Por mi parte, me encuentro bastante bien, contenta de pasar una vez más por aquí y compartir con ustedes mis experiencias viajeras. Les cuento que me encuentro visitando la ciudad de Santa Marta con mi familia y algo por lo que es muy conocida esta ciudad es por sus lindas playas. Sin embargo, esta vez queríamos hacer algo diferente por lo que averiguando en una agencia de tour decidimos ir a conocer Playa blanca.

La única manera de poder llegar a esta playa es por medio de un bote, es decir, tienes que cruzar el rodadero que es también una playa, para poder llegar al lugar, el viaje dura por lo general unos 10-15 minutos. El paquete de viaje ida y vuelta más el almuerzo tuvo un valor de $60.000 pesos Colombianos por persona ($15.55 Dólares) y por supuesto, tenían un sitio especifico a donde se debía ir caminando para poder tomar el bote.

Hello fellow travelers, happy day! I hope you are feeling great and that you are making the most of your vacation. As for me, I'm feeling pretty good, happy to be here once again and share with you my travel experiences. I am visiting the city of Santa Marta with my family and something this city is well known for is its beautiful beaches. However, this time we wanted to do something different so we decided to go to Playa Blanca.

The only way to get to this beach is by boat, that is, you have to cross the rodadero which is also a beach, to get to the place, the trip usually takes about 10-15 minutes. The round trip package plus lunch cost $60,000 Colombian pesos per person ($15.55 USD) and of course, they had a specific place where you had to walk to in order to take the boat.

Al llegar al lugar encontramos algunas chocitas donde esperaríamos el taxi marino o los botes independientes, aquí se cancela el costo del tour y te entregan unas manillas con diferente color que corresponden al seguro médico e identificación de que hacías parte del tour, a parte nos entregaron un recibo para poder reclamar el almuerzo.

When we arrived at the place we found some little huts where we would wait for the marine cab or the independent boats, here the cost of the tour is cancelled and they give you some handles with different colors that correspond to the medical insurance and identification that you were part of the tour, they also gave us a receipt to be able to claim the lunch.

Una vez listos en el bote y con chaleco puestos emprendimos el viaje, debo confesar que tenía un poco de miedo por el recorrido ya que hace años tuve una mala experiencia en un viaje como este, sin embargo, todo estuvo bastante tranquilo y se podía admirar el hermoso color del mar. Cuando íbamos llegando a la playa se podía admirar lo blanco de la arena y el color turquesa y azul claro del agua por lo cual es reconocido este lugar, hablándoles un poco de esta joya escondida es la segunda vez que recibe el galardón bandera azul debido al buen cuidado que los prestadores turísticos y la alcaldía hacen, es una playa que constantemente están limpiando y créanme que se nota ya que no encontramos ni una basurita y el agua estaba bastante cristalina, tal cual una isla.

Once we were ready in the boat and with our vests on we started our trip, I must confess that I was a little afraid of the journey since years ago I had a bad experience on a trip like this, however, everything was quite calm and you could admire the beautiful color of the sea. When we were arriving at the beach you could admire the white sand and turquoise and clear blue water for which this place is recognized, telling you a little of this hidden gem is the second time it receives the blue flag award due to the good care that tourism providers and the mayor's office do, it is a beach that is constantly cleaning and believe me it shows because we did not find a little trash and the water was quite clear, just like an island.

Para ser un lugar que no se llena tanto como el rodadero al parecer para esta época de semana santa muchos turistas decidieron visitarla por lo que había multitud, sin embargo, eso no fue impedimento para pasar un rato agradable. La playa no permite la entrada de perritos, así como tampoco permite la entrada de pequeñas neveras de icopor (o cavas) para guardar las bebidas solo puedes ingresarlas en los bolsos de mano y junto a cada carpa hay un bote de basura para que cuando finalices puedas desechar la basura.

For a place that is not as crowded as the rodadero, it seems that for this Easter week many tourists decided to visit it, so there was a crowd, however, that was not an impediment to have a nice time. The beach does not allow the entry of dogs, nor does it allow the entry of small icopor coolers (or coolers) to store drinks you can only enter them in handbags and next to each tent there is a trash can so that when you finish you can dispose of the garbage.

Algo que me gusto mucho es que justo al lado esta el acuario y museo del mar por lo que pudimos observar a algunos delfines mientras entrenaban, que de hecho en una foto de arriba se puede observar. En el lugar también se puede practicar canopy o tiralesa, careteo o snorkel y kayak. Luego de almorzar que debo decir no fue tanto de nuestro agrado la comida nos pusimos a descansar, eso sí, el lugar cuenta con unos cuantos restaurantes así que quizá en otro se pueda encontrar mejor almuerzo. Aprovechamos el sol para broncearnos un rato y disfrutamos también del agua que estaba super refrescante y por supuesto, las fotos no podían faltar.

Something I really liked is that right next door is the aquarium and museum of the sea, so we were able to observe some dolphins while they were training, which in fact can be seen in a photo above. In the place you can also practice canopy or zip line, snorkeling and kayaking. After lunch, which I must say was not so much to our liking, we started to rest, of course, the place has a few restaurants so maybe in another one you can find a better lunch. We took advantage of the sun to sunbathe for a while and also enjoyed the water which was super refreshing and of course, the photos could not miss.

Duramos prácticamente todo el día en la playa, en horas de la tarde llegaron los botes por nosotros, por lo que teníamos que hacer filas para embarcarnos y llegando al rodadero aprovechamos de comprar unas arepas de queso asadas que olían super bien y estaban muy ricas, prácticamente ese fue el reemplazo del almuerzo jaja. Al final me di cuenta que tomé solecito de más y quedé como un camarón, pero lo importante en que disfrutamos bastante y fue una experiencia nueva realmente increíble.

De verdad que esta playa es muy linda, ideal para visitar y compartir en familia, hacer un tour completo y disfrutar de cada experiencia y atracción que por cierto, pronto abrirán una pequeña cueva donde podrás explorar, lo más recomendable es viajar en taxis marinos o averiguar con las agencias de tour para que todo sea más seguro. We lasted practically all day on the beach, in the afternoon the boats came for us, so we had to wait in line to get on board and arriving at the rodadero we took the opportunity to buy some grilled cheese arepas that smelled great and were very tasty, practically that was the replacement for lunch haha. At the end I realized that I had too much sun and I was like a shrimp, but the important thing is that we enjoyed a lot and it was a really incredible new experience.

Really this beach is very nice, ideal to visit and share with family, make a complete tour and enjoy every experience and attraction that by the way, soon will open a small cave where you can explore, it is best to travel in marine cabs or check with tour agencies to make everything safer.
