Autumn in the Philippines

Hello, dear Hivers! How's the weather today in your place? Here, the weather is so unpredictable. From hot sunny morning to a rainy afternoon or a heavy thunderstorm at night. It somehow affects my mood, my plans, and decisions in life. Hehe

With this unsettling weather, sometimes I just wanna escape and go to a place where I can enjoy the weather. How about an autumn experience wherein the color of the leaves turn into magical colors of red, orange, yellow, purple, and brown? That would be so delightful.

But do you know that you can experience autumn here in the Philippines? Not the weather though but at least the colors of autumn. 😁 I would like to share with you my "autumn" experience here in our place.

Look at those brown leaves. You'll probably think I'm in another country. The colors look like autumn leaves.

This is a Mahogany tree. During the summer days (April and May) when the weather is very hot, its leaves start to die. The color of the leaves turns a little yellow, orange, and brown before it would fall to the ground. And it's not just a few leaves but all of its leaves will fall off gradually day by day until all leaves are gone.

I and my friend sat down on the pile of Mahogany leaves that fall off the tree. You can see that the leaves had the colors brown, yellow, and orange just like autumn colors.

We may look so reserved here, just sitting and brightly smiling but behind the camera, we were like kids playing with the falling leaves. The experience brought out the child in us. 🙅

My friend tried to catch the falling leaves. It is not clear in this photo the leaves that fell since this is just a screenshot of a video I uploaded on IG. We had fun. Now we look forward to another summer time in the Philippines for an autumn-like experience. 😁🍃
