Total domination on the Rift with Akshaan AD Carry!

Samira in the top lane, Aphelios in the top lane, and Akshaan in the bottom lane all have one common factor; they aren't supposed to be there. But Akshaan's kit has so much to offer as an ADC rather than a mid lane fighter or a top lane bruiser. The community's approach was right. Riot created a mid-laner, and the community said "No, he is an ADC" in Muse's voice from the Captain Philip movie.

Akshaan has incredible mobility and a built-in shield in his passive which, when played right, makes for a powerful early-game monster in the bottom lane. Think about it, with the extra movement speed from his passive, pinning him down and trading is harder. With his Heroic Swing ability, he can reposition himself all while avoiding incoming damage and dashing outgoing damage at the same time.

This match-up is perfect for my Akshaan pick. In the lane phase,
Akshaan can easily dodge Ezreal's persistent poke Qs with the movement speed from Akshaan's passive. The primary threat, however, is the Nautilus hook. This can be anticipated and ignored just by proper positioning, and if push comes to shove, passive movement speed and Heroic Swing is always available.

The remaining dangers are the "burst damage" champions on the enemy team. Careful positioning is key to survive those bursts. And for extra security, I always run the Resolve tree for my secondary runes paired with Barrier for the "summoner's spells".

The only con here would be that the enemy team is full-ad. Which kinda makes the Wit's End item obsolete. But the extra speed from the item is still pretty useful. I will always purchase that item on Akshaan.

I have been religiously practicing perfecting the tower dives using Akshaan's E (Heroic Swing). When executed perfectly, Akshaan can swing around an enemy turret and deal damage and concede only 1 turret shot. This is an incredibly powerful skill and comes in clutch when running down or executing fleeing enemies.

This skill requires two things to be perfect. 1; maxing E. 2; knowing your range. Your E can proc on-hit effects so maxing it does more damage especially if you build Kraken Slayer and Wit's End like I do. You should never cast it on the maximum range and you will eventually hit the terrain and cancel it earlier.

The best-case scenario is to reduce your enemy's HP and use your tower diving E to execute. At best, you should complete the entire swing and come out with a kill. Alternatively, you can cancel your E to get in one last shot, take the kill, and use the reset to escape again.

But in what world does an ADC come out of a game with double the enemy's damage and with a 19/3 score?

It has a lot to do with understanding what I should avoid and know my limits with Akshaan. I always run Resolve and Barrier. It is bound to help me tank as much burst as the Yassuo, Zed, and Kayn have to offer. And of course correct itemization.

In this game, I completed my "core" items first. Kraken Slayer and The Collector. Immediately after, I began purchasing my way towards GA which should give enough armor and a revive.

If you get an early invade, I always would go with taking my E first. It does more consistent damage output while repositioning. And if I get a kill or assist, I can continue going forward with the reset.

In this game, we created an early cheese and it resulted in a double kill for me. More kills mean more gold which means more items. From there on it is all about playing safe with only taking trades I know I can win. Or else I would be throwing away my huge lead and giving ShutDown Gold.

Have fun with Akshaan. Max E, always!

GG! See you on the rift!

Ok, I really wanna see more about Akshaan- did you ever try tank-Akshaan? How was the experience? Also, against Viego how he plays?

I tried Tank Akshaan a couple of times, but I think he is more suited for the top lane. Viego is pretty easy to beat early and if Akshaan gets ahead.
