Will Conte be the Man to Bring Spurs Forward

I have been a long suffering Spurs fan all my life. The Spurs allegience got handed down to me by my father who lived in London near Tottenham and became a fan in the 60's when Spurs were winning league doubles. The highlight of my lifetime was the FA cup win in 1990 when i was 8 and a couple of years ago beating Ajax in a last minute cash grab which saw myself and my 80 year old father jump around the local pub in delight. Those memories stay with me forever. Spurs have everything now. A great stadium with significant commercial revenue from the NFL, the world's best training facilities, and now the best manager. I am still pinching myself that we managed to secure someone of Conte's pedigree. This guy is a serial winner. Our new DOF Paradici is a serial winner. Now it is time for the players to stop making excuses and step up to the plate. It doesn't matter anyway because if they do not step up, Antonio will have them gone. I am enjoying the fact that if he did sign he was giving assurances of money to spend. Whether that is the Harry Kane money from city or just extra cash in the kitty remains to be seen but finally the future is looking bright. Spurs play Everton on Sunday at 2 bells. We played Contes famous 3-5-2 against Vitesse on Thursday in the Europa Conference league so he has only 2 more days to make the system better against a wirey Benitez who is having a turbulent time himself. Conte was late to the presser yesterday as he was late watching video analysis of the Vitesse game with the team. I wonder how that went. Conte is reputed to be a tough task master and he needs to get the lowest running team in the premiership running again. This will take time. January transfer window is not so far away. I can't wait to see what he does to the side and who he brings in. Italian players stayed at Spurs training ground during the Euros so it might be easier to persuade some to join as some in the squad could not get over the facilities.
