@erikahfit would many people use cash anymore where you are? In Ireland it is now 90% card or phone. ATM rage is a thing with me. The old one putting her bank card and money in her handbag at the machine after the transaction is a crime i.m.o

Cash is still in use here, especially among the older generation and village people. They don't trust banks, machines. This guy was a roma and they are not very literate. Some are illiterate. How many times i got stopped at the supermarket and asked to read what the label said. Their justification is always I don't have my reading glasses with me. Which is a joke as I've never seen one wearing glasses. Not a single one.

I'm trying to use my card wherever I go but at the farmers market and fairs no one has a POS, so it's cash only. There's no internet connection at these fairs. And at the farmers market vendors are not well-versed regarding technology 🙂

I know what you mean, it can be frustrating to wait for people to put away their money. It happens quite often at the cashier here, almost every day. We still need time to evolve.

We have Roma's here as well. If €50 fell on the ground they wouldn't be long about seeing it 😂

Very nice people. Here they would rob you for less if you are in a shady area or in a crowded bus. 😒
