It is so nice to be here in this community today with lovely people around the world and today, it is with great pleasure that I will be sharing with you all the making of this simple design of a fabric gift bag i recently made and I'm sure you will like the beautiful outcome.

Sometimes we have some gift to give out to our family members, friend's and love ones but we might be short of what to package the gift with, as a seamstress, you have nothing to worry about, this is a beautiful and nice idea for you as long as you have some pieces of left over fabric you wanted to dispose, you can give them a new life by creating a useful items with them to package your gift items.

Join me as we make this fabric gift bag from scratch.

Measure and cut out 20 x 8 inches of fabric

At the top, I measured 2 inches and cut in 0.5inches by the side and the same process was repeated on the other side as well while the 0.5" was folded in at the up and down

I folded the top in twice and it was top stitched on, I repeated the same at the other side as well

It was folded in two and i sew on both sides with 0.5"

I measured 1 x 1" at the bottom and it was cut out on both sides

The opening were sewn together on my sewing machine to give it a comfortable base

I cut out 2 pieces of bias tape measuring 30 inches, it was folded and sewn together

I inserted each bias tape in the loop I made at the top

The second bias tape was inserted the other way to be fastened together

This is the final and beautiful outcome of the fabric gift bag I made with some items in it just the way it will look when you have your gift items in it.

This hand crafted gift bag will definitely add more uniqueness to the gift you are presenting.
