This beautiful day, I will be sharing with you the making of a short gown I discussed about yesterday in my post, as you all know, I made mention of making 3 different gown for three sisters which I succeeded in making that of the youngest daughter and posted it yesterday in my blog. Now, I will be making the one for the second daughter.

From 3yards of ankara fabric, I was able to make a simple short gown and a stylish sleeve with an elastic band. Let's get started with the process of cutting and sewing used to achieve this beautiful gown.

First, I folded the fabric in two to cut out the front lower part and it was later placed on another folded fabric to cut out the back with zipper allowance.

Second step was to cut out the upper bodice using the remaining fabric with the proper measurement taken as the lining too was cut out same way to turn it inside out for neat finishing as shown below.

The upper and lower bodice were completed so I was left with the choice of sleeves, then I decided to make a long sleeve with an elastic band at the middle, this was achieved after cutting out the sleeves With ×2 of the round sleeve measurement and I also cut out the lining same way to turn it inside out. I sew in-between the middle to insert an elastic band.

After all these has been done, I took all the work to the sewing machine for proper sewing to make a complete gown as shown below.

Now, I'm done with the second gown, I'm left with the last one for the elder sister.
