Hello hiveians

There are so many ways to make your outfit unique, one can decide to make the upper bodice of a dress to be a basic bodice and make the lower part a different style and design depending on your creativity, or vice versa.

Sometimes, the whole bodice of a dress can be a basic pattern your creativity will be focused on the sleeves just as I am about to share with you below.

I was given a two yards of lace fabric to make a simple dress for my client for a wedding, which I obviously know that I will need to add some material for it to be enough to make a simple but beautiful style.

I went to the market to buy materials needed for the sewing of the dress, then I bought satin material of about 3 trouser length which will be used to lined the lace and I used the remaining satin to make a beautiful sleeve.

let's get started with the making of the sleeves

I wanted the sleeves to be big to give me the desired finishing, so I measured ×3 of the round sleeve measurement which was about 30" then I cut out the armhole measurement to fit in the off shoulder.

I made a loop at the top leaving 1" at the top before the loop to insert an elastic band and at the middle, I also made I loop to insert a strip of the satin I made.

Finally, I inserted the elastic at top top and the strip of satin I made at the middle and my sleeve is ready to be attached to the off shoulder dress.
