How I achieved this sleeveless top with less than a yard of fabric
Hello hiveians
A beautiful morning to you this lovely day.
As you all know, this is what I know how to do and love to do.
This morning, I will like to show you how I made this hip length sleeveless top from the left over fabric I had after using the flower fabric in making a sleeve and gathers to my ready to wear gown.
On Monday, I made a post @needleworkmonday on how I was able to achieve this ready to wear dress from the left over fabric I had after making a short skirt for church.
I had some fabric left and I decided to make a simple top from it which I can wear on my leggings.
This is what I came up with, join me as I show you the process to achieve this.
All I did was to fold the fabric into four, cut the front and back together using my measurements, after which I took it to the sewing machine and added an elastic band across the waistline and finally, pipe the hem and edges with bias tape then the finishing. I noticed it will be too tight at the hip line so I left a slit opening by the two sides so as to make it free on me.
This is so simple, you can achieve this with less than a yard of fabric, see how beautiful it looks on me.
Wow, you’ve done an amazing job my dear @bimpcy
Thanks, it's just me, doing what I know how to do.
You did a great job. I like people who make the most out of what they have. The fact that you didn't let the leftover fabric go to waste is what I admire the most.
