Greetings to you all my friends and lovers of creativity in this great community and hive at large, I hope you are all doing great and making progress as we continue to gradually approach the end of the week, it is another beautiful day for me and I believe it is for you as well. Today, I bring to you another beautiful creativity which I will be sharing with you, it is the design of a cosmetics organizer I made using a piece of fabric.

When I woke up this morning, I had it in mind to go to the market but unfortunately, the weather was not so friendly then I decided to stay back for another day since what I wanted to buy at the market was not that pressing or urgent, while thinking of what to do in order to keep myself busy, I decided to create something nice for myself to organize my simple cosmetics, though, at first, I wanted to make a simple box shape but I later decided to be creative a little and the outcome was so beautiful that I love it so much.

This is has small triangle shape pocket by the sides for extra items while the inner is for the bigger items just as I neatly arranged my little cosmetics in it.

Let's get started with the step by step process of cutting and sewing

Using a single piece of fabric with the measurement of 14 x 14" with interfacing ironed on the main fabric and lining of same shape was cut out

The lining was placed on the main fabric right side to right side and it was sewn round leaving a small opening where it can be turned inside out

It was turned inside out through the opening, neatly ironed and top stitched round

It was folded in two and I measured 3 x 4" on both sides and it was connected together with a slanted line

It was taken to the sewing machine and I sew on the line on both sides

It was folded together and I repeated the same process on the other sides as well and I have this

The little cone shape the was formed by the sides were pressed down mid point to mid point and I used my hand needle and thread to secure it on both sides

It was repeated on the four cone shape by the sides and I have this

The top was also folded down and I used my hand needle and thread to secure it also on all sides at the tip

Finally, I used my gum to fix a small silver applique on the places I used my hand needle and thread to secure at the top

This is how beautiful my cosmetics storage organizer looks like after I had neatly arranged my simple cosmetics in it.
