A beautiful yoke designed gown outfit for my friend's little daughter
Hello everyone

Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, I hope you are all doing great, I hope you all had a lovely weekend just as I had it here, it is so nice to be sharing with you in this great community @needleworkmonday the cutting and sewing process of this beautiful gown outfit with yoke made for my friend's daughter. For sometimes now, I have had this fabric with me given to me by my friend to make an outfit for her and her little son, I made a short and top for the little boy and the remaining fabric has been with me.
Recently, my friend decided that the remaining fabric should be used to make simple outfits for her daughters and since I have been their seamstress for awhile now, i have made different outfits for them and this time, I decided to make a pleated gown outfit with yoke at the front for it to look different and stylish.

To start with, I cut out the waist circumference measurements multiply by 3 with the full length measurements from the waistline and I ran a gathered stitch on it before it was gathered to the exact waist circumference measurements plus zipper allowance

The lower part of the gown was set aside and I went ahead to draft the upper bodice on a brown paper with the upper bodice measurements which was then transferred to the main fabric. I cut out the yoke using a plain fabric with a V-shape neckline

Then the other part of the front was cut out using the main fabric as well as the back bodice with zipper allowance

All the pieces were cut out with lining and after sewing the yoke to the other part of front, I used lining to turn it for neat finishing

The front and back were sewn together after it was neatly turned inside out with the lining

For the sleeves, I cut out a puff sleeve which was pleated on a band using the round sleeves measurements by 2 and sleeves length measurements

The sleeves were sewn to armhole circumference and I have the upper bodice ready

The upper bodice was sewn to the gathered lower part of gown with lining pleated on the waist line for fullness

Finally, a matching color zipper was sewn to the zipper allowance at the back with the hem of the gown folded in and sewn round. This is the final and beautiful outcome of the gown I made for my friend's daughter.

I hope you like the final and beautiful outcome, join me in my next post for beautiful creativity.
