Beyşehir and Stone Bridge🌉Beyşehir ve Taş Köprü

Hello everyone, friends. I love sharing our travel memories. Today, I would like to talk about a visit we made last month on our way back from my hometown and introduce you to this small town. This is Beyşehir district of Konya province. As it is known, Central Anatolia and especially Konya district are considered very poor in terms of trees and forests. However, Beyşehir district is a greener place than its surroundings. When @bilginselcuk told me that he had a friend in Beyşehir and that it was on our route, I agreed to come here to rest for a while.🚗 After informing our friends, we set out towards Beyşehir. It was one of those places where I said I was glad we came here. Because when we couldn't see the forest on long roads, our souls began to shrink. It was very nice to see its forests and even its sea-like lake. 🌳🌳🌊🏖️

Herkese merhaba arkadaşlar. Yolculuk anılarımızı paylaşmayı çok seviyorum. Bugün geçtiğimiz ay memleketimden dönerken yaptığımız bir ziyaretten bahsetmek ve bu küçük ilçeyi sizlere tanıtmak istiyorum. Burası Konya ilinin Beyşehir ilçesi. Bilindiği üzere İç Anadolu ve daha çok Konya ilçesi ağaç, orman bakımdan epey fakir sayılır. Ancak Beyşehir ilçesi çevresine göre daha çok yeşillik bir yer. @bilginselcuk Beyşehir'de arkadaşının olduğunu ve zaten güzergâhımız üzerinde olduğunu söyleyince bende biraz dinleniriz diye buraya gelmeyi kabul etmiştim.🚗 Arkadaşlarımıza haber verdikten sonra Beyşehir'e doğru yol aldık. İyiki buraya gelmişiz dediğim yerlerden birisi oldu. Çünkü uzun yollar boyunca orman görmeyince ruhumuz daralmaya başlamıştı. Ormanlar ve hatta küçük çaplı denizi andıran yerler görmek çok iyi geldi. 🌳🌳🌊🏖️

Since the town center is quite small, we found our friends quickly. After chatting for a while, we went to eat something because we were hungry. I was a little happier when I learned that our friend's father owns a pita restaurant. 🥙Because eating from a place you trust or can trust is different. Later, our friends bought us ice cream from Beyşehir's famous ice cream shop. 🍧🍨 I didn't think it was this delicious at first, but it was the most delicious ice cream I've ever eaten.🍧It was surprising to have eaten such ice cream in Beyşehir.😅🍦

İlçe merkezi oldukça küçük olduğu için arkadaşlarımızı çabucak bulduk. Biraz sohbet ettikten sonra acıktığımız için bir şeyler yemeye gittik. Arkadaşımızın babasının pide salonu varmış bunu öğrenince biraz daha mutlu oldum. 🥙Çünkü güvendiğin veya güvenebileceğin yerin yemeğini yemek başka oluyor.🫓 Daha sonra arkadaşlarımız Beyşehir'in ünlü dondurmacısından bize dondurma ısmarladılar. 🍧🍨 İlk önce o kadar da önemli bir lezzetinin olduğunu düşünmüyordum ancak benim bu zamana kadar yediğim en lezzetli dondurmaydı.🍧Böyle bir dondurmayı Beyşehir'de yemiş olmakta şaşırtıcı geldi.😅🍦

While eating our ice cream, I asked my girlfriend if there were any historical places to visit in the city, and she told me a few places. When I said that I wanted to visit these places if they were not far away, we learned that they were all close. First, we went to the historical Stone Bridge, which was closest to us. 🌉Since I admire all the historical buildings, I wanted to photograph this bridge from different angles.🌉📸 Beyşehir Lake, which passes right under the bridge, seems to have given life to this bridge. There was some information about its history on the information board right in front of it. Stone Bridge was built as a regulator dam system between 1908 and 1914, in partnership with the Anatolian Ottoman railway, after Konya Governor Avlonyalı Ferit Pasha became the grand vizier in 1907. This was the first irrigation project of the Ottoman Empire. It was valuable for me to learn these details. My girlfriend said that their house is very close to here and she wanted to introduce me to her mother. Her mother was a very sweet and friendly person, she asked me if I liked it here and I said of course I liked it.😃

Dondurmalarımızı yerken kız arkadaşıma şehrin gezilecek tarihi yerlerinin olup olmadığını sorduğumda birkaç yer söyledi. Uzak değilse buraları gezmek istediğimi söylediğimde hepsinin yakın olduğunu öğrendik. İlk önce en yakınımızda bulunan tarihi Taş Köprüye gittik. 🌉Tarihi olan tüm yapılara hayran olduğum için bu köprününde farklı açılardan fotoğrafını karelemek istedim.🌉📸 Köprünün hemen altından geçen Beyşehir Gölü adeta bu köprüye can vermiş gibi gözüküyor. Hemen önünde yazan bilgilendirme panosunda tarihi ile ilgili birkaç bilgi yer alıyordu. Taş Köprü, Konya Valisi Avlonyalı Ferit Paşa'nın sadrazam olmasından sonra 1907'de Anadolu Osmanlı demiryolu ortaklığında 1908-1914 yılları arasında regülatör baraj sistemi olarak yapılmış. Burası Osmanlı Devleti'nin ilk sulama projesiymiş. Bu detayları öğrenmek benim için kıymetliydi. Kız arkadaşım evlerinin buraya çok yakın olduğunu ve beni annesiyle tanıştırmak istediğini söyledi. Annesi çok tatlı ve cana yakın biriydi, bana burayı beğenip beğendiğimi sordu bende tabiki çok beğendiğimi söyledim.😃

The street with historical-looking houses looked as if it had opened its doors to us from the past. 🏚️According to what my friend told me, until 10-15 years ago, some of these houses were in ruins and were restored and closed for use. The floors of some of them have been turned into shops selling souvenirs, while others appear to be residential areas. In any case, they added beauty to the street with their historical and natural appearance.🏚️

Bu tarihi görünümlü evlerin bulunduğu sokak sanki geçmişten bize kapılarını açmış gibi gözüküyordu. 🏚️Bu evlerin bazıları arkadaşımın söylediğine göre 10-15 yıl öncesine kadar harabe bir şekildeymiş restorasyon yapılıp kullanıma kapanmış. Bazılarının altı hediyelik eşya satan dükkanlar haline gelmiş bazılarında ise ikamet ediliyor gibiydi. Her halükarda tarihi ve doğal görünümleri ile sokağa güzellik katmışlardı. 🏚️
