Beylerbeyi Palace / Beylerbeyi Sarayı 🏰

Hello everyone, I heard about this city many times before I stepped into Istanbul. They always said, "it's a city to visit, but not a city to live in". It was really hard for me to get used to the city at first. Factors such as the crowded city, traffic problems and living conditions cause this perception. Especially the traffic is very heavy. Although the infrastructure is developed, it is often insufficient due to the population density. However, as it is said, it really is a city to visit. I try to visit it in my free time. There are so many places to visit that I plan routes for myself.

Herkese merhaba, İstanbul'a adım atmadan önce birçok kez bu şehrin namını duydum. Hep derlerdi, "gezilecek şehir, ancak yaşanılacak şehir değil" diye. İlk başlarda şehre alışması benim için gerçekten zor oldu. Şehrin kalabalık olması, trafik sorunları, geçim şartları gibi faktörler bu algının oluşmasına neden oluyor. Özellikle trafik çok yoğun. Altyapı her ne kadar gelişmiş olsa da nüfus yoğunluğundan dolayı çoğu zaman yetersiz kalıyor. Ancak denildiği gibi gerçekten gezilecek şehir. Boş zamanlarımda gezmeye çalışıyorum. Gezilecek o kadar çok yer var kendime rotalar planlıyorum.

I visited Beylerbeyi Palace recently. To be honest, visiting this place was not among my plans. I suddenly decided around 3 p.m. When I looked at the internet closing time, it was 17.00. I immediately got dressed and set off. After about forty-five minutes I reached the beach where the palace is located.

Geçtiğimiz günlerde Beylerbeyi Sarayı'nı ziyaret ettim. Açıkçası burayı ziyaret etmek planlarım arasında yoktu. Saat 15.00 gibi bir anda karar verdim. İnternet kapanış saatine baktığımda 17.00'yi gösteriyordu. Hemen üzerimi giyinip yola koyuldum. Yaklaşık kırk beş dakika sonra sarayın bulunduğu sahile ulaştım.

The palace looked much more beautiful than what I saw on the internet. However, since it is forbidden to take photos inside the palace, I will only share the ones I took on the outside.
One of the remarkable parts of the palace is the sea view. Up to a certain point, you can take a walk with a sea view. It is a great feeling to watch seagulls and ferries flying over the sea. Don't you think it is very cool? 🙂

Saray internette gördüğümden çok daha güzel görünüyordu. Ancak sarayın iç kısmında fotoğraf çekmek yasak olduğu için sadece dış kısımlarında çektiğim yerleri paylaşacağım.
Sarayın dikkat çeken yanlarından birisi deniz manzarası. Belli bir noktaya kadar deniz manzarası eşliğinde yürüyüş yapabiliyorsunuz. Denizin üstünde uçan martıları, vapurları izlemek harika bir his. Sizce de çok havalı değil mi? 🙂

Another view is the bridge. I crossed over the bridge many times and when I looked down I realized that it was bigger than I thought. It is also a pleasure to watch the European side from the palace.

Diğer bir manzara ise köprü. Köprünün üzerinden birçok kez geçtim. Aşağıdan baktığımda sandığımdan daha büyük olduğunun farkına vardım. Ayrıca sarayın olduğu yerden Avrupa tarafını izlemekte ayrı bir keyifli.

The garden of the palace is worth mentioning. It is carefully prepared for visitors. Different types of trees and greenery add a different atmosphere to the palace. There is also a nice cafe with a sea view. I have no idea about the prices. I am thinking of stopping by if I visit again.

Sarayın bahçesine değinmeden geçmek olmaz. Ziyaretçiler için özenle hazırlanmış. Farklı türdeki ağaçlar, yeşillik saraya ayrı bir atmosfer katıyor. Ayrıca deniz manzaralı güzel bir kafesi de mevcut. Fiyatları hakkında fikrim yok. Tekrar yolum düşerse uğramayı düşünüyorum.

Besides these, there are historical sculptures in the garden. The one that caught my attention was a walking tiger statue. Although it was not alive, it had a very imposing stance. Even this scares you a bit. 😅
Another artifact that caught my attention is a deer and her fawn. The fawn must have been hungry because its mother was breastfeeding.

Bunların yanında bahçede tarihi eser heykeller bulunuyor. Benim dikkatimi çeken yürüyen kaplan heykeliydi. Canlı olmamasına rağmen çok heybetli bir duruşu vardı. Bu bile insanı bir tık korkutuyor. 😅
Dikkatimi çeken diğer bir eser ise geyik ve yavrusu. Yavrunun karnı açıkmış olmalı ki annesi emziriyordu.

The most disappointing thing for me here is that I could not share the interior of the palace with you. It was really magnificent inside. I spent more time inside the palace than in the garden. At least I took a few shots as it is not forbidden to take photos of the exterior. You can get the idea that the interior is beautiful just by looking at these.

Burada beni en çok üzen nokta sarayın iç kısmını sizlerle paylaşamamış olmam. İçerisi de gerçekten muazzamdı. Sarayın içerisinde bahçeye göre daha fazla zaman geçirdim. En azından dış kısımların fotoğrafını çekmek yasak olmadığı için birkaç kare aldım. Bunlara bakarak bile içerisinin güzel olduğu kanısına varabilirsiniz.

After visiting this majestic building, I went to eat at a nearby social facility. It was recommended to me by a friend. I had a mixed grill with a view of the sea and the bridge and the price was very reasonable.
I highly recommend you to visit Beylerbeyi Palace. I am sure you will not regret it. 🙂

Bu görkemli yapıyı gezdikten sonra hemen yakınlarında bulunan bir sosyal tesise yemek yemeye gittim. Burayı bir arkadaşım tavsiye etmişti. Deniz ve köprü manzarası eşliğindeki karışık ızgara yedim. Fiyatı da gayet uygundu.
