Presentación musical 🎶 de mi hija 🎹🎶 [ESP-ENG]

Hola madres y padres de Motherhood. La semana pasada en mi último post en la comunidad, les conté como fue la búsqueda del vestido perfecto para mi hija. Ahora les voy contar como estuvo el evento de la presentación de Andrea tocando el teclado.

Este evento se llevó a cabo en Musa Restaurant, un restaurante muy lindo en la zona norte de la ciudad, este sitio tiene un ambiente encerrado y otro al aire libre, pero con techo. La presentación se llevó a cabo en el área abierta. La academia se hizo cargo de todo, claro, los representantes cancelamos una cuota de 25 $ para dicha presentación. Pero no importa porque fue el dinero mejor invertido.

Hello Motherhood moms and dads. Last week in my last post in the community, I told you how was the search for the perfect dress for my daughter. Now I’m going to tell you how Andrea’s keyboard playing event went.

This event took place at Musa Restaurant, a very nice restaurant in the northern part of the city, this place has an enclosed environment and another one outdoors, but with a roof. The presentation took place in the open area. The academy took care of everything, of course, we representatives paid a $25 fee for the presentation. But it doesn’t matter because it was money well spent.

Días antes la academia estuvo promocionando por las redes sociales el recital llamado “La música se estudia” y unas semanas antes les tomaron las fotografías que se iban a usar para realizar los carteles publicitarios de cada uno de los participantes con su instrumento musical. Yo no sé si es porque soy nueva pero a mí me encantó como quedó el cartel de mi hija.

Days before the academy was promoting through social networks the recital called “La música se estudia” and a few weeks before they took the photos that were going to be used to make the posters announcing each of the participants with their musical instrument. I don’t know if it’s because I’m new but I loved how my daughter’s poster turned out.

La primera información fue que la presentación daba inicio a la 1:00 pm y que los músicos debían llegar una hora antes, pero luego los organizadores decidieron dividir a los participantes en dos set, así que Andrea quedó para el último set que empezó aproximadamente a las 4 y media de la tarde, pero nosotros llegamos como a las 3 de la tarde.

Ese día nos acompañó mi cuñada (hermana de mi esposo), ella siempre nos ha acompañando a los eventos importantes de los niños, antes cuando Andrea estaba en ballet ella siempre asistía a las presentaciones y con Andrés también a asistido a graduaciones y en ocasiones va a los juegos de béisbol. Entonces ella es parte de los momento importante de los niños y ellos la adoran, es su tía favorita.

The first information was that the presentation started at 13:00 and that the musicians should arrive an hour before, but then the organizers decided to divide the participants in two batches, so Andrea was left for the last batch that started around 16:30, but we arrived around 15:00.

That day we were accompanied by my sister-in-law (my husband’s sister), she has always accompanied us to the children’s important events, before when Andrea was in ballet she always attended the presentations and with Andres she has also attended the graduations and sometimes goes to the baseball games. So she is part of the children’s important moments and they love her, she is their favorite aunt.

Cuando llegamos acababa de terminar el primer set y estaban tomando las fotografías, buscamos una mesa y esperamos que pasará el alboroto, mientras tomamos algunas fotografías y admirábamos el lugar, lo que me gustó, es que había un televisor donde iban pasando todos los músicos que se iban a presentar.

When we arrived the first set had just finished and they were taking pictures, we looked for a table and waited for the commotion to pass, while we took some pictures and admired the place, what I liked was that there was a television where all the musicians who were going to perform were passing by.

Andrea empezó a sentirse nerviosa y sus manos sudaban, su profesor se acercó a nuestra mesa para saludarla y preguntarle cómo se sentía. Nos preguntó qué si era su primer recital y le dijimos que si y por eso es que ella estaba tan nerviosa. Lo bueno es que no era la única, porque en la mesa de al lado, estaba una muchacha mucho más grande y su acompañante que me imagino era su mamá le tenía las manos agarradas y se las secaba con un pañuelo. Cuando le mostramos a Andrea se tranquilizó un poquito porque supo que era normal sentir nervios antes de la presentación.

Andrea started to get nervous and her hands were sweating, her teacher came to our table to greet her and ask her how she was feeling. She asked us if it was her first recital and we told her yes and that was why she was so nervous. The good thing is that she was not the only one, because at the next table there was a much older girl and her companion, who I imagine was her mother, was holding her hands and drying them with a handkerchief. When we showed it to Andrea she calmed down a bit because she knew it was normal to feel nervous before the presentation.

El espectáculo comenzó con los niños del kinder musical tocando y cantado Hakuna Matata, de la película El Rey León 🦁. Luego dos niños más tocando el teclado, el que iba pasando tocaba sus dos canciones de una vez. La primera era la canción de música clásica y la segunda la de la película que le fue asignada. Cuando llamaron a Andrea, casi se me sale el corazón, no me imagino como estaría ella.

Subió al escenario y empezó a tocar, yo veía en su cara muchos nervios pero ella siguió con sus dos canciones que fueron El Ratoncito Cantor de John Thompson y El Principe Alí de la película Aladdin, al terminar todos aplaudimos y al llegar a la mesa lo que hizo fue abrazar al papá y empezó a llorar, los nervios eran tanto y se contuvo tanto en el escenario que cuando explotó lo hizo en lágrima. Mi esposo la consoló y estuvo un rato con ella abrazados hasta que se le pasó.

The show started with the children from the musical kindergarten playing and singing Hakuna Matata, from the movie The Lion King 🦁. Then two more children playing the keyboard, the one who was passing by played their two songs at once. The first was the classical music song and the second was the song from the movie he was assigned. When they called Andrea, my heart almost skipped a beat, I can’t imagine how she would be.

She went on stage and started to play, I could see in her face a lot of nerves but she continued with her two songs which were The Singing Mouse by John Thompson and Prince Ali from the movie Aladdin, when she finished we all applauded and when she got to the table what she did was hug her dad and started to cry, the nerves were so much and she held back so much on stage that when she exploded she did it in tears. My husband consoled her and stayed with her for a while hugging her until she got over it.

Lo demás fue seguir disfrutando de las siguientes presentaciones, había mucho talento con el teclado, violín y cantantes. Me imagino que los músicos con la batería y guitarras eléctrica y acústicas pasaron en el primer set. La presentación terminó a las 6:30 pm, luego tomaron las fotos en grupo e hicieron entrega de los reconocimientos por parte de los profesores. Así dieron por terminada la tarde.

The rest was to continue enjoying the following presentations, there was a lot of talent with the keyboard, violin and singers. I imagine that the musicians with the drums and electric and acoustic guitars passed in the first set. The presentation ended at 6:30 pm, then they took group photos and the teachers presented the awards. That was the end of the evening.
