En esta ocasión el detalle era para su papá, quien también estaba cumpliendo años. Ella no sabía que regalarle, pero hace poco compramos un horno y freidora de aire, un electrodoméstico que ha sido de las mejores adquisiciones que hemos tenido tomando en cuenta la dificultad que se tiene en este país para comprar gas. El caso es que ella quiso hacerle una torta para el cumpleaños de su querido papito.

This time the gift was for her dad, who also had a birthday. She didn’t know what to give him, but we recently bought an oven and an air fryer, an appliance that has been one of the best acquisitions we have had considering the difficulty we have in this country to buy gas. The thing is that she wanted to make him a cake for his dear dad’s birthday.

A decir verdad me encantó la idea, pero como a mi esposo no le gustan las tortas decoradas con merengue, coberturas o glaseados, pero le encanta la torta de piña 🍍 decidimos hacer una torta de piña. Era la primera vez para las dos pero me orienté con una amiga que es repostera y ella guío nuestros pasos.

Andrea no dejó que yo batiera los ingredientes para hacer la torta, lo primero que dijo fue que la iba a preparar ella sola, le expliqué que sola no iba a poder porque es un procedimiento largo e iba a necesitar mi ayuda para agregar los ingredientes a la mezcla y también para hacer el caramelo, porque no quería que se quemara. Ella estuvo de acuerdo después que en la primera parte no se pudo agregar los huevos y seguir batiendo.

It was the first time for both of us but I was guided by a friend who is a pastry chef and she guided our steps.

Andrea did not let me beat the ingredients to make the cake, the first thing she said was that she was going to prepare it by herself, I explained to her that alone she was not going to be able to because it is a long procedure and that she was going to need my help to add the ingredients to the mixture and also to make the caramel, because I did not want it to burn. She accepted that after the first part she could not add the eggs and continue beating.

Preparamos todo y empezó a homogeneizar la mezcla, mientras ella batía con el batidor de mano yo iba preparando el jugo de piña y haciendo el caramelo, fue un trabajo en equipo. Cuando vio el resultado final quedó encantada y feliz por el regalo que le había preparado a su papá 😍. Ella misma fue la encargada de entregarle la torta 🎂 al cumpleañero quien estaba asombrado pero muy feliz por que Andrea es la luz de sus ojos.

Esta fue una de las mejores experiencias con los proyectos de Andrea, porque generalmente los elabora ella sola ya que son más sencillos, pero en esta ocasión lo hicimos entre las dos y como dije fue un trabajo en equipo con un excelente resultado, aunque ella se llevó todas las Flores 💐 porque dijo que ella la había hecho 🤣🤣 y yo fui la asistente o ayudante de cocina 🤣.

When she saw the final result she was delighted and happy for the gift she had prepared for her dad 😍. She herself was in charge of giving the cake 🎂 to the birthday boy who was amazed but very happy because Andrea is the light in his eyes.

This was one of the best experiences with Andrea’s projects, because usually she does them by herself since they are simpler, but this time we did it between the two of us and as I said it was a team work with an excellent result, although she took all the Flowers 💐 because she said she did it 🤣🤣 and I was the assistant or kitchen helper 🤣.
