Hola familia y amigos, diciembre es un mes en que las familias poseen un montón de costumbre y tradiciones, muchas de ellas son pasadas de generación en generación, como lo es la comida, la ropa, la decoración y muchas mas.
En muchos hogares decoran desde los primeros días de noviembre para que está decoración dure mucho tiempo en sus casas. Mi mamá es de esas personas ya que a ella le gusta quitar toda la decoración antes del 15 de enero, y yo desde que tengo mi propio hogar también me ha gustado hacerlo de esa manera, solo que me gusta decorar a partir del 15 de noviembre, este año desempolvamos las decoraciones el 18/11, Día de Virgen de Chiquinquirá. Me encantó ese día y posiblemente de ahora en adelante decore en esa fecha.
Hello family and friends, December is a month in which families have a lot of customs and traditions, many of them are passed from generation to generation, such as food, clothing, decorations and many more.
In many homes they decorate from the first days of November so that this decoration lasts a long time in their homes. My mom is one of those people since she likes to remove all the decorations before January 15, and since I have my own home I have also liked to do it that way, I just like to decorate from November 15, this year we dusted off the decorations on 11/18, Day of the Virgin of Chiquinquira. I loved that day and possibly from now on I will decorate on that date.
Cuando se trata del arbolito de navidad, guirnaldas y luces participamos todos en la casa, mi esposo arma el árbol que tiene dos metros, coloca las luces y los niños y yo colocamos la decoraciones.
Pero desde hace 14 años, que fue el primer año que decidimos hacer un pesebre con la representación del nacimiento del niño Jesús, está es una tradición que compartimos de nuestras familias y desde ese primer momento mi esposo ha sido el encargado de este trabajo, según él, su papá era el que hacia el nacimiento de su casa todos los años y cada año era más grande. Esta es una de las costumbres que él aprendió en su casa y quiso mantenerlo en nuestro hogar.
Este año se le hizo un poco tarde por cuestiones de trabajo y no fue sino hasta ayer domingo que pudo hacerlo, pero no lo hizo solo, porque los niños estuvieron ahí colaborando todo el tiempo.
When it comes to the Christmas tree, garlands and lights we all participate in the house, my husband assembles the tree, which is two meters tall, puts up the lights and the children and I place the decorations.
But since 14 years ago, which was the first year we decided to make a manger with the representation of the birth of the baby Jesus, this is a tradition that we share from our families and from that first moment my husband has been in charge of this work, according to him, his father was the one who made the nativity of his house every year and every year it was bigger. This is one of the customs he learned at home and he wanted to keep it in our home.
This year he was a little late due to work and it wasn’t until yesterday, Sunday, that he was able to do it, but he didn’t do it alone, because the children were there collaborating all the time.
Recuerdo que el primer nacimiento que mi esposo hizo en nuestra casa era muy grande y ocupaba la mitad de nuestra sala de estar y cuando eso nuestra casa era más pequeña que ahora, con el pasar de los años lo ha hecho más pequeño, pero siento que este año quedó grande como a él le gusta pero no tan grande como los que hacía su papá.
Con ayuda de nuestro hijo, buscaron las cajas para formar las montañas, luego forraron con fieltro. El fieltro es una maravilla para este tipo de decoraciones, además el de nosotros ya tiene varios años y todavía le queda mucho tiempo de uso.
Por último colocaron las luces y las imágenes, los niños fueron los encargados de colocar las ovejas con una gota de silicón caliente para que no se caigan durante todo este mes, porque yo también quitó el nacimiento antes del 15 de enero, igual que mi mamá.
I remember the first nativity that my husband made in our house was very large and took up half of our living room and when that our house was smaller than it is now, over the years he has made it smaller, but I feel that this year it was as big as he likes but not as big as the ones his dad made.
With our son’s help, they looked for the boxes to form the mountains, then lined them with felt. Felt is wonderful for this type of decorations, besides, ours is already several years old and still has a long time of use left.
Finally they placed the lights and images, the children were in charge of placing the sheep with a drop of hot silicone so that they do not fall during this month, because I also removed the nativity before January 15, just like my mom.
Se preguntaran que estaba haciendo yo en ese momento, pues como mi participación es apoyarlos y decirles lo bonito que les está quedando el trabajo, mientras ellos estaban en la elaboración del nacimiento yo estaba en la cocina preparando unas ricas hamburguesas para después del trabajo y mientras tanto les iba tomando fotografías del proceso cuando ellos no se daban cuenta, por eso los emojis, ya que no estaban posando para las fotos y la verdad yo tampoco estaba acordé para tomarme una fotografía.
You may wonder what I was doing at that moment, since my participation is to support them and tell them how nice their work is turning out, while they were making the nativity scene I was in the kitchen preparing some delicious hamburgers for after work and meanwhile I was taking pictures of the process when they did not realice it, that’s why the emojis, since they were not posing for the pictures and the truth is that I did not agree to take a picture either.
Cada integrante de la familia participó y colaboró para que está velada fuera grandiosa, ya tenemos nuestra decoración de navidad completa, tenemos nuestro nacimiento cerca del árbol de navidad 🎄. Fotos de las hamburguesas y la cena no pude tomar así que se las debo.
Momentos como este en mi opinión son los que representa la navidad, esos instantes en los que compartes con tu familia y le enseñas a tus hijos lo que aprendiste de tus padres, las tradiciones que quisiste conservar y lo afortunados que somos por poder compartirlas en nuestras familia.
Every member of the family participated and collaborated to make this evening great, we already have our Christmas decorations complete, we have our nativity near the Christmas tree 🎄. Pictures of the burgers and dinner I couldn’t take so I owe them to you.
Moments like this in my opinion are what Christmas represents, those moments when you share with your family and teach your children what you learned from your parents, the traditions you wanted to keep and how lucky we are to be able to share them in our family.
