Me and my first child : The Ballad of Life Being a Young Mother

It's not easy being a mother let alone being a young mother like me. There are so many schools that educate someone to become a doctor, midwife, pilot, policeman, soldier and so on. However, there is no school or course for learning skills to be a mother, let alone a good mother.

Romantic films, and children's fairy tales are also more about love stories. Most of the story's ending is always a happy marriage. There is no continuation of the story, for example how the woman's life after becoming a mother—who has to undergo an uninterrupted commitment to love and care for her children, plus almost unlimited dedication and sacrifice. No pay, no leave, no service.

It turns out that no mother is perfect. Then where to find knowledge to be a good mother?

Households have bigger exams because of economic factors. So we often read sad news about mothers who throw their children away and commit suicide.

But, I am grateful for the presence of my first child, my life as a young mother has changed a lot, my husband has become more diligent and very responsible.

This child, whom I named Muhammad Qisti Al-Maliki, was born in 2020, today is his first birthday.

I used to often think whether I would be able to live the life of a mother? Seeing yourself at a young age, sometimes the shadow of complaints often approaches. But, I am also grateful to have a husband who is very caring and responsible.

Indeed, there is no special school to guide women to be good mothers. However, believe that this life will guide us in its own way.

I didn't realize that my son had grown up and was able to walk and run. I'm getting more and more excited about living this life.
