Themes of Ladies Of Hive contest #66 (SPA/ENG)
¡Hola, gente de internet!. Es mi primera vez participando en el concurso semanal. Estoy muy entusiasmada, así que comencemos:
Hello, internetm people! This is my first time participating in the weekly contest. I'm very excited, so let's get started:
¿Qué posible tatuaje me haría?
I love tattoos, I just haven't had the chance to get my first one yet. I would definitely say I would get a pair of angel wings all over my back or/and a cherry tree on my right thigh.
Normally people look for meanings (sometimes even far-fetched) to get a tattoo, not me, I prefer to be spontaneous and capture on my skin the sketch that I like for its beauty rather than for "the meaning it may have". I feel that art can be enjoyed in the simplest way, showing off its beauty.
¿Presencia de un fantasma?
Indeed! Once I went camping with my school band, the camp was in a very large hacienda and we pitched our tents far away from the main house, near a tool shed and close to the river. At about 2 or 3 am several dogs nearby started howling and woke us up. One of my friends (who was sleeping with me and another friend in my tent) nervously got out to untie the canvas tent doors but stopped what she was doing and turned around, then gave a muffled yelp. I came out of the tent to see what had her so scared and so I saw her, she was looking at a woman.
She was too pale, had dark circles under her eyes and she looked very sick, and she was walking sideways to us, about five meters or so away. Her dress was pale pink and undoubtedly antique and was somewhat dirty and worn, her hair was very long as well. Someone nearby shouted (no doubt they had seen her and like me, knew the woman was not alive) and everyone started coming out of their tents muttering, others shouting and others crying. We were all watching her. When she walked past the tents and we saw her whole, we realized that she had no feet.
The woman "walked" until she got behind the tool house and our director and some teachers ran over there and came back even more scared, the woman was nowhere to be found. There was no way she could have run anywhere because everything around us was exposed ground (no trees or bushes or anything to hide behind) and the tool house was locked with a very big padlock and the door was tight, so the woman couldn't have snuck in there either.
Although our camp was to be for two or three days, no one (not even the directors) wanted to stay as the owners of the place said only that she used to appear from the lake to the tool house and that she sometimes screamed and cried. We certainly didn't want to see her again, let alone hear her cry. The sensation that the specter transmitted was unpleasant, suffocating and desperate, I don't think it was just any ghost, honestly.
