Hi, internet folks – how’s it going? I recently went to the ‘Meet and Greet’ event with South Korean DJ Luca, which took place at Café Sensación in La Isabelica (Valencia, Venezuela), so I wanted to tell you about my experience as a customer
Hola, gente de Internet ¿todo bien? Hace poco fui al evento del Meet and Great del Dj Surcoreano Luca y este fue en el Café Sensación en la Isabelica (Valencia, Venezuela) asi que quería hablarles de mi experiencia como cliente
I must say that the venue is quite lovely – very ‘fancy’, but with a cosy rather than austere feel. I really liked the colour scheme and how spacious the two function rooms are; what’s more, the toilets were very well maintained and clean.
Debo decir que el espacio es bastante bonito, muy “Fancy” pero no con un toque sobrio sino acogedor, la paleta de colores me gustó bastante y lo amplios que son sus dos salones, además los baños estaban muy bien cuidados y limpios
Whilst I was waiting for Luca, I decided to order my usual – one of my favourite drinks, an iced matcha latte – but right from the start, it all went wrong
Mientras esperaba a Luca decidí pedirme al simple, una de mis bebidas preferidas, un matcha latte ice pero desde el inicio, todo mal
I tried to get the waiters’ attention, but they were doing everything except looking after the tables. I caught the eye of the woman who seemed to be the hostess, and she said, “I’ll be right with you,” but she just went over to the bar to sort out I don’t know what – she didn’t serve me. Later, a lad attended to me, but he called over a colleague to take my order, so I asked her for an iced matcha latte, and it took them about 10 minutes to bring me a drink that doesn’t even take five to make, and to top it all off, when the lad brought it to me, it was hot lol
Intenté llamar la atención de los meseros pero estaban en todas menos pendiente de las mesas, llamé la atención de la que parecia la anfitriona y me dijo “ya te aiendo” y solo se fue a la barra a coordinar no se que pero no me etedió, posteriormente me atendió un chico pero llamó a una compañera para que me tomara el pedido, asi que a ella le pedí el matcha latte ice y tardaron alrededor de 10 minutos en llevarme una bebida que no toma ni cinco y para mas colmo cuando el chico me la trae la trajo caliente lol
With my infinite patience, I took a deep breath and told her I’d asked for a cold one, so she took the cup to the bar where they made it for me again – clearly with unwhisked milk and matcha that hadn’t been frothed enough, because it had no foam and wasn’t even slightly thick as it should have been. To top it all off, when I tasted it, it was bland, with no trace of sugar or sweetener, so I had to ask a girl to please bring me some sweetener to add to the drink. Once I’d added it, it improved, but it wasn’t anything to write home about, precisely because they hadn’t followed the process properly to ensure the order didn’t take any longer than it already had, and they were also slow to clear away the cup; if I didn’t ask, they wouldn’t take it away, and there wasn’t even a bin nearby so I could dispose of it myself; I had to sit there for quite a while with the cup in the way.
Con mi infinita paciencia respiré profundo y le dije que había pedido uno frío asi que se llevó la taza a la barra donde me lo hicieron de nuevo, claramente leche sin batir y matcha sin espumar lo suficiente porque no tenia espuma ni estaba ligeramente espeso como debría y para colmo cuando lo probe estaba simple y ni rastros de azucar o edulcorante, asi que tuve que pedirle a una chica que por favor me trajera el edulcorante para agregarlo a la bebida, una vez que lo agregué mejoró pero no fue algo del otro mundo debido precisamente a que no hicieron el proceso adecuadamente para que la comanda no tardara más delo que ya había tardado y además tardaron también en retirarme el vaso, si no lo pido no lo retiran y ni siquier había un bote de basura cerca para hacerlo yo misma, tuve que quedarme un buen rato con el vaso estorbando
After the Meet – that is, once Luca had left – I decided with my friends to order a pizza, and I’ve got no complaints about that; to be honest, it was absolutely delicious and it didn’t take too long to arrive – just the usual time, really. I was really pleased about that because pizza is one of my favourite foods.
Después del Meet, es decir cuando Luca se fue, ya decidí con mis amigas pedir una pizza y ahí si no tengo quejas, la verdad estuvo super rica y además no tardó demasiado, si no lo regular, en eso si me sentí feliz porque además la pizza es de mi comidas preferidas
Overall, although I loved the pizza, I doubt I’ll go back – it’s quite a long way from my home and, besides, there was nothing to make me want to become a regular customer. The pizza was really tasty, yes, but if the customer service is poor, it automatically overshadows everything else, especially with that basic mistake in the preparation of the Matcha Latte.
En general aunque la pizza me encantó dudo que vuelva a ir, me queda bastante lejos de mi casa y además no hubo nada que me enganchara a ser una cliente regular, la pizza esuvo muy rica si pero si un servicio al cliente es malo, automaticamente eclipsa todo lo demás, más aún con ese error básico en la preparción del Matcha Latte
