Arzopa 15.6 inch Portable Monitor

I've never really had cause to have get a second monitor for my computing use... when I had a desktop, I had a nice large single screen, and that could easily fit two windows side by side with no problem... but more and more, I've migrated to a laptop... a decent sized gaming laptop, but still one that has a 15 inch screen.... and that means that two windows side by side is starting to get more and more difficult when I'm doing my taxes, transcribing music, or doing other music related things where it is handy to be able to jump back and forth between two windows...

... and the other thing that I don't really like to admit to... well, I'm getting older, and I'm starting to find it a bit more difficult to focus the eyes on small text... poop!

So, when I saw a travelling 15.6 inch portable monitor by a company that I've never heard of.. Arzopa... I bought it... it was on sale, and I figured I may as well give it a try... decent reviews and lots of connectivity options.

So, monitor, HDMI, and USB-C cables... In the end, most modern laptops are only every going to need the USB-C on both ends, and that supplies all the power that you need... so, no extra brick or anything! PERFECT!

There is a built in kick stand... something that is crazily useful for a travel monitor, you want to be taking as little extra add-ons as possible! And it is a nice stiff leg, no mushiness in this stand!

Front is a decent size, and it is a matte display 1080 display. 1080 is good enough on a 15.6 inch display, not crazily sharp... but adequate, and you don't need much to drive it either. I've always been fond of matte displays over the more vibrant glossy finishes. I just hate the reflections that you get on the glossy ones, and I would always prefer the slightly muted tones of the matte ones just so that I didn't have to deal with that!

Pretty straightforward as far as ports go... a visual input of you choice... and as mentioned before, most people will now be using USB-C... and buttons buttons for volume and other display controls. So far, I haven't need to tweak any settings... I'll probably play around with those at some point. And the sound isn't that great, but that isn't what you get it for!

And you can see the Arzopa set up as a secondary monitor next to my laptop! It packs up nice and small, and is the same footprint as my laptop in terms of area. So, easy to throw in the same back for when I'm travelling and need to get some serious work done at a hotel. Plus... at about 100 AUD, cheap enough not to worry too much if it gets damaged!

I, too, can relate to this, coming froma desktop computer to a laptop. Laptop got its flexibility in certain aspects, but this is where it caused me some serious issues to get comfortable. I, too, got a secondary monitor.

Yeah, having the portability and all of that is great... but the lack of screen space does start to bite at some point for certain use cases.

I have a viewsonic one similar to what you have. It has been game changing for me when I am traveling. I even got one for my wife and she uses it all summer while she is working from home.

Oh, I think I'm also going to go back and get a larger one as well for home use!
