Immersed in the depths of Umbria: Basilica di San Francesco d'Assisi, Italy

Hello to all my dear friends of the Liketu community, today I want to share with you a memory that every time I see it, it fills my heart with love, and that is my visit to Assisi, or Assisi, as it is known in Italy.

It is a magical place that is located on a hill, from which you can contemplate and enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the region of Umbria, at that height bathed in vineyards.

When I arrived in Assisi, it was about to rain, and indeed it did, but nothing stopped me from touring the city. The most beautiful part of that evening was the beginning of the night, which for some reason decorated the whole atmosphere with an impeccable indigo, despite the clouds.

What you can see in the photos is the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, which, with those golden lights, invited to get lost in an eternal moment of peace and beauty.

The indigo color is my favorite, but not just any color, specifically the one seen in the sky and more precisely the one seen in the photo where I point to the sky and the bell tower of the basilica.

The landscape was beautiful, the colors of the stone could not match better with nature. I felt really blessed to be there.

That day was my birthday, it was September 15, 2021, and to celebrate, I had decided to take that walk that would take me from Torre del Colle to Assisi.

After enjoying the city and that jewel of a night, I returned to my lodging, where I ate some delicious food as a celebration.

Hola a todos mis queridos amigos de la comunidad de Liketu, hoy deseo compartir con ustedes un recuerdo que cada vez que veo, me llena el corazón de amor, y es mi visita a Asís, o Assisi, como se conoce en Italia.

Se trata de un lugar mágico que se encuentra sobre un cerro, desde el cual se pueden contemplar y disfrutar preciosas vistas panorámicas de la región de Umbría, a esa altura bañada de viñas.

Cuando llegué a Assisi, estaba a punto de llover, y de hecho, eso ocurrió, pero nada me detuvo para recorrer la ciudad. Lo más hermoso de aquella tarde, fue el inicio de la noche, que por algún motivo decoró con un añil impecable todo el ambiente, a pesar de las nubes.

Lo que pueden ver en las fotos, es la Basílica de San Francisco de Asís, que, con esas luces doradas, invitaba a perderse en un instante eterno de paz y belleza.

El color añil es mi preferido, pero no cualquiera, específicamente ese que se ve en el cielo y más precisamente el que se ve en la foto donde apunto al cielo y al campanario de la basílica.

El paisaje era precioso, los colores de la piedra no podían combinar mejor con la naturaleza. Me sentí realmente bendecida de poder estar allí.

Aquel día era mi cumpleaños, fue el 15 de septiembre de 2021, y para celebrar, había decidido hacer aquella caminata que me llevaría desde Torre del Colle hacia Assisi.

Después de disfrutar de la ciudad y de aquella joya de la noche, regresé a mi alojamiento, donde comí algunas cosas ricas a modo de festejo.
