A work of art in the middle of the city: The Sagrada Familia from Gaudi's Plaza, Barcelona, Spain

Hello to all my dear friends of the fabulous Liketu community! I hope you are having a beautiful Sunday. Today I come to share with you the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.

I visited that place in 2019, the date when I entered this architectural wonder, but then, in 2021, when I had to stay in Barcelona for a few days, I decided to pass by there again, already without entering.

Of course it was full of people, all fascinated by this sculpture that really does nothing but take all your attention when you walk by.

This time I discovered a space that I had completely ignored the first time I visited the city, and that is the Plaza de Gaudí. It is a green space that is in front of one of the sides of the Sagrada Familia, is full of trees and has a small lake.

If you take the time to enjoy this place and stroll through it, you can see, in a moment, that behind some trees looms this Basilica that has become an exponent of Barcelona and even Spain as a country.

In my case it was a very nice image, because I was walking very absent-minded, watching the trees and the people, who even in pandemic some were wearing their masks, others not, and well, I was just contemplating. And suddenly, at one point I turned and there was the imposing Sagrada Familia, reflecting in that lake as you can see in the photos.

Also, in the publication I show you some pictures from the front of the Basilica, you will notice that you can see the street, the people, and then I crossed to the square, from where I took more pictures once I discovered the beautiful scenery.

Hola a todos mis queridos amigos de la fabulosa comunidad de Liketu! Espero que estén teniendo un hermoso domingo. Hoy vengo a compartir con ustedes la Sagrada Familia de Barcelona.

Visité ese lugar en el 2019, fecha en la que entré a esta maravilla arquitectónica, pero luego, en el 2021, cuando tuve que quedarme en Barcelona por unos días, decidí pasar nuevamente por allí, ya sin ingresar.

Por supuesto que estaba repleta de gente, todos fascinados por esta escultura que realmente no hace más que tomar toda tu atención cuando pasas por allí.

En esta ocasión descubrí un espacio que había ignorado por completo la primera vez que visité la ciudad, y es la Plaza de Gaudí. Se trata de un espacio verde que está frente a uno de los costados de la Sagrada Familia, está repleto de árboles y cuenta con un pequeño lago.

Si te tomas el momento de disfrutar este lugar y pasear por él, podrás ver, en un momento, que detrás de unos árboles se asoma esta Basílica que se ha convertido en un exponente de Barcelona y hasta de España como país.

En mi caso fue una imagen muy bonita, porque iba caminando muy despistada, observando a los árboles y a la gente, que aun en pandemia algunos llevaban su tapabocas, otros no, y bueno, iba simplemente contemplando. Y de pronto, en un momento giré y allí estaba la Sagrada Familia imponente, reflejándose en ese lago como pueden ver en las fotos.

Además, en la publicación les muestro algunas imágenes desde el frente de la Basílica, se darán cuenta ya que se puede ver la calle, la gente, y luego crucé hacia la plaza, desde donde tomé más fotos una vez que descubrí el precioso escenario.

This is a destination you should definitely visit if you travel to Barcelona, a city that, although I would not live there, I recommend to visit as it offers, to this day, a cosmopolitan culture that has transcended the Spanish tradition. Although it is very clear where the city comes from, it is full of inhabitants from all over the world and tourists who are constantly renewing themselves, thus providing a very particular travel experience.

Este es un destino que sin dudas deben visitar si viajan a Barcelona, ciudad que, aunque no viviría allí, recomiendo para visitar ya que ofrece, al día de hoy, una cultura cosmopolita que ha trascendido la tradición española. Aunque queda muy claro de dónde viene la ciudad, está repleta de habitantes del mundo entero y turistas que se renuevan de manera permanente, brindando de este modo, una experiencia de viaje muy particular.
