¿Generación de Cristal?
Caminaba en estos días junto a mi hija y en medio de una larga conversación caímos en cuenta de algo. Últimamente las personas no dejan de hablar de la generación de cristal.
Este tema desde mi punto de vista no se habla con seriedad sino más bien como un tema de poco valor o sentido. Hablar de la generación de cristal es hablar de la resignación sobre cómo actúan estos chicos.
No cabe duda que los comentarios que se hacen en las calles recae sobre el futuro de nuestra sociedad. Al parecer, los padres modernos tienen una gran responsabilidad y es su deber asumir compromisos ante un panorama vislumbrado como pésimo.
I was walking with my daughter these days and in the middle of a long conversation we realized something. Lately people keep talking about the crystal generation.
From my point of view, this topic is not talked about seriously, but rather as a topic of little value or sense. To talk about the crystal generation is to talk about resignation about how these kids act.
There is no doubt that the comments that are made on the streets fall on the future of our society. It seems that modern parents have a great responsibility and it is their duty to assume commitments in the face of a panorama that seems to be dismal.
La Adolescencia y sus cambios
Toda sociedad en cualquier etapa, época o momento, sufre y seguirá sufriendo transformaciones. Es como si estuviésemos hablando de la etapa de adolescencia donde se sufren cambios a nivel fisiológico y psicológico.
Every society, at any stage, time or moment, undergoes and will continue to undergo transformations. It is as if we were talking about the stage of adolescence where changes are undergone at the physiological and psychological level.
Un ejemplo claro es la inherente rebeldía la cual puede ser vista como una oportunidad de innovación para valorar qué está mal en el sistema actual y de esta manera poder mejorarlo.
La generación de cristal manifiesta en su población nuevas característica y así ha de ser por lo anteriormente señalado, la sociedad evoluciona y con ella su nueva población.
En este sentido siempre será bueno escuchar, entender, decodificar propuestas existentes y dar sentido a ese nuevo enfoque de las cosas.
No se trata de hacer criticas sin sentido ni de someterse a un enfoque cerrado de las nuevas sociedades, sino más bien de tener una mente abierta y clara.
En toda sociedad tendremos a esos adolescentes actuando con impulsividad como un modo natural. Como todo en esta vida, algunos chicos canalizan mejor que otros; como todo en esta vida, ahí deben estar los padres para canalizar y ayudar.
A clear example is the inherent rebelliousness which can be seen as an opportunity for innovation to assess what is wrong with the current system and thus be able to improve it.
The crystal generation manifests new characteristics in its population and so it has to be because of the above mentioned, society evolves and with it its new population.
In this sense it will always be good to listen, understand, decode existing proposals and make sense of this new approach to things.
It is not a matter of making meaningless criticisms or submitting to a closed approach to the new societies, but rather of having an open and clear mind.
In every society we will have those teenagers acting impulsively as a natural way. Like everything in this life, some kids channel better than others; like everything in this life, parents must be there to channel and help.
En la generación de cristales al igual que otras generaciones pasadas y futuras debe estar presente el reconocimiento, respeto y las oportunidades.
Mi nieta mayo es ya una adolescente. Frente a esta realidad donde vive, tanto mi hija como sus abuelos y tíos, estamos de acuerdo en reconocer de ella sus atributos.
Sus pensamientos deben ser respetados, sus ideas, su manera de actuar y resolver las cosas también. Aunque no siempre todo salga bien, hay que reconocerle su esfuerzo.
El respeto en este sentido es fundamental. Mientras más oportunidades brindemos, más oportunidades tendrán para ver el mundo que les rodea y no solo eso, también estarán más capacitado para entender y solucionar problemas de la vida diaria.
Entonces mis queridos lectores, no se trata de emitir juicios sobre una u otra generación sino de saber cómo atender de acuerdo a sus necesidades y el momento histórico donde se encuentren.
In the crystal generation as well as other past and future generations, recognition, respect and opportunities must be present.
My granddaughter May is already a teenager. Faced with this reality where she lives, both my daughter and her grandparents and aunts and uncles, we agree to recognize her attributes.
Her thoughts should be respected, her ideas, her way of acting and solving things as well. Even if everything does not always go well, her efforts must be recognized.
Respect in this sense is fundamental. The more opportunities we provide, the more opportunities they will have to see the world around them and not only that, they will also be better able to understand and solve everyday problems.
So, my dear readers, it is not a matter of making judgments about one generation or another, but of knowing how to attend to them according to their needs and the historical moment in which they find themselves.

La base de todo con los niños y adolescentes es el entendimiento, escucharlos y permitirles expresarse. Este termino de "Generación de Cristal" a veces me parece un poco agresivo ya que los etiqueta de alguna forma, y para mí ellos son una generación fuerte que además han crecido en medio de una pandemia mundial y ahora con la IA.
