Good afternoon my dear friends, happy Sunday to all, I hope you had an excellent weekend; for the proposal of Weekend Engagement 201, our friend @galenkp invites us to talk about that work where we excelled and had good results, personally, in the company where I work, which is a "Super Market", very large it should be noted, for that reason we work a lot, sometimes more than normal, having as a result, unhappy staff and that is reflected in customers; But thanks to GOD, several things have changed and everything is due to hard work, more mental than physical, achieving better work strategies to have a comfortable staff and therefore customers satisfied with the attention.
I am not one to highlight my accomplishments, I like to always keep to myself, but my boss is the one who motivates me to look at myself and give myself a pat on the back for good work, and that has led to excellent results and valuable rewards.
I will tell you about the last few months, which is where we have seen the most improvement in the department I am in charge of, which by the way is "CASH AND BILLING"; We are a work team of 8 supervisors, but I admit that there were weaknesses, which were reflected in our staff in charge, our boss seeing what was happening, asked us to choose among ourselves one who had the conditions to be a leader, I did not ask for it, but they saw in me what was necessary to be now head of cash, a better position and a better salary, and with that the good results were being seen, but I had to live up to my new responsibility, for something they proposed it and I had to demonstrate with facts that this decision was the right one.
Being head cashier has not been easy, let alone working hand in hand with my superior, who is always calling me to give me directions and waiting for reports, but little by little I have been adapting, and even thanks to what I have learned, I have been able to establish better work strategies so that the department in my charge has more benefits, less unnecessary work and thus the attention to the public is adequate; as well as better work implements and uniforms according to my position.
It was not an easy road, I had difficult obstacles, but they were overcome, and thanks to so much effort, I went from being a cashier to a supervisor, and then I was rewarded with another higher position and better benefits, and with GOD's favor I will continue giving the best of me to continue having better results.
