Good afternoon my dear friends of HIVE, happy Friday to all, I hope you have an excellent weekend; our friend @galenkp brings us for the proposal of Weekend Engagement 161, varieties of topics to develop, but "Friendship" is the one I am leaning towards, since that one word contains so much meaning and it depends on oneself how much importance we give to it.
How do you go about finding new friends and creating lasting friendships in the offline world?
I feel that there is no manual, guidelines or strategy to find new friendships, it all depends on the personality of each person, there are those who find it easier to meet someone today and tomorrow have a great friendship with that person, as others who are very closed and find it difficult to relate to other people.
Personally I am not much into social networks, connecting with others or meeting people, that's why I am already out of line as far as friendships are concerned, most of the friends I have today I have met throughout my life, since my childhood, in my studies and in my various stages of work; with many of them I have maintained a beautiful friendship, to tell you that my best friend I met 26 years ago and we are still very close.
I find new friendships, being transparent, I make myself known for who I am, always reflecting in others the values that were instilled in me at home, without creating different facades to my personality just to please someone else, I like to treat people well, all equally, when I'm just getting to know them; but something I do have is that I get involved in the lives of people who are going through some complicated situation, either because I see something different in their behavior or because they come to me looking for some support, yes, as long as they let me be involved, I do not like being invasive; And thanks to that, a friendship is created even stronger, it has happened to me a lot lately in the company where I work, there I have met people of different personalities, with different aspects that make them special, thanks to the fact that they open their hearts and let themselves be seen as they are and part of their life story; I believe that being like that, it is the most real way for a friendship to be lasting.
