      Ella es Nina, llego muy pequeña a ser parte del hogar de mi suegra, siendo un regalo de su hermana; todo iba bien en los primeros meses, hasta que una perrita de la misma casa dio a luz a sus cachorros y sin querer hacerle daño, solo por el instinto de cuidar a sus bebes, ataco a Nina, dejando casi sin vida, pero con la suficiente para luchar por seguir viviendo.

      She is Nina, she arrived very young to be part of my mother-in-law's home, being a gift from her sister; everything was going well in the first months, until a little dog from the same house gave birth to her puppies and without wanting to hurt her, just for the instinct to take care of her babies, attacked Nina, leaving her almost lifeless, but with enough to fight to continue living.

      Tan mal quedo, que solo se le podía dar agua, sueros, alimentos líquidos, y el medicamento con una jeringa; pudo sobrevivir, pero no todo eran buenas noticias, se podría decir que, quedo “discapacitada”, porque al caminar no tenía coordinación, le fallaba sus patitas, además temblaba mucho y de pronto le daba como ataques epilépticos, quizás sufrió algún daño neuronal, aun así cariño y atenciones no le falto; poco tiempo después, por un pequeño descuido, Nina se acercó a los cachorros de la perra y esta la ataco nuevamente pero no tan fuerte como la primera vez, y de extraña manera desde entonces recupero su coordinación, ya no temblaba, camina bien y ya no le da esos ataques, como si su sistema neurológico se reactivó, no lo sé.

      She was so bad that she could only be given water, serums, liquid food, and medicine with a syringe; she survived, but not everything was good news, one could say that she was "disabled", because when she walked she had no coordination, her legs failed her, she also trembled a lot and suddenly she had epileptic attacks, maybe she suffered some neuronal damage, even so, she did not lack love and attention; Some time later, due to a little carelessness, Nina approached the puppies of the dog and this one attacked her again but not as strong as the first time, and in a strange way since then she recovered her coordination, she no longer trembled, she walks well and she no longer has those attacks, as if her neurological system was reactivated, I don't know.

      Lo que sí sabemos es que todo para ella no fue normal desde entonces, no ha tenido una vida como cualquier otro gato, muchas enfermedades, claro todas superadas porque tiene a la que es para mí, es la mejor veterinaria de cabecera que conozco (mi suegra), cabe mencionar, que no tiene un título como tal o un reconocimiento plasmado en un papel, solo el que nosotros, las personas que la conocemos le damos, algo más honorifico, porque para no ser una profesional en la materia, tiene un amplio conocimiento que fue ganando a lo largo de su vida y las múltiples mascota que ha tenido.

      What we do know is that everything for her was not normal since then, she has not had a life like any other cat, many diseases, of course all overcome because she has the one who is for me, is the best veterinarian I know (my mother in law), it is worth mentioning that she does not have a title as such or a recognition embodied in a paper, only that which we, the people who know her give her, something more honorary, because for not being a professional in the field, she has a wide knowledge that she has gained throughout her life and the many pets she has had.

      En el poblado donde vive mi suegra no hay veterinario cerca, ni agropecuaria donde se pueda acudir para medicamentos de mascotas, así que cuando sus mascotas enferman, si nosotros no podemos ir a tiempo ya que vivimos algo distante de ella, le toca ir a una farmacia para comprarle los medicamentos dependiendo de la enfermedad que tengan y guiándose por un veterinario que tiene buena información en su página de internet; en este último caso de ictericia, cuando pidió el medicamento, no se lo querían vender porque no tenía una prescripción médica, la mandaron para el hospital a llevar al paciente, así que les dijo para quien era “es para mí gatita que tiene ictericia", dijo mi suegra; el doctor y la farmacéutica de turno, sonrieron y decidieron ayudarla, buscando el tratamiento mas adecuado para Nina, tomando en cuenta que era un animalito al que se le daría medicamentos de humanos. Gracias a DIOS, a esas personas de noble corazón y a mi suegra, Nina supero esa difícil enfermedad, y empezó su recuperación. he estado al pendiente, en comunicación constante y les digo que ya Nina puede ver, su ceguera fue temporal, y está comiendo mucho, recuperando los kilogramos que perdió 😄.

        In the town where my mother-in-law lives, there is no veterinarian nearby, there is no farm where you can go for pet medications, so when her pets get sick, if we can't go in time because we live a little far from her, she has to go to a pharmacy to buy the medications depending on the disease they have and guided by a veterinarian who has good information on his website; In this last case of jaundice, when she asked for the medicine, they did not want to sell it to her because she did not have a prescription, they sent her to the hospital to take the patient, so she told them who it was for "it is for my kitty who has jaundice", said my mother-in-law; the doctor and the pharmacist on duty, smiled and decided to help her, looking for the most appropriate treatment for Nina, taking into account that she was a little animal that would be given human medicines. Thanks to GOD, to those noble-hearted people and to my mother-in-law, Nina overcame that difficult disease, and began her recovery. I have been watching over her, in constant communication and I tell you that Nina can see, her blindness was temporary, and she is eating a lot, recovering the kilograms she lost. 😄.

      No sabemos que vendrá para ella en el futuro, pero tengo la esperanza que todo estará bien, y doy seguridad de esto, porque cayó en buenas manos, una mujer que da el todo por el todo por sus mascotas, sin importar el costo, el tiempo que tenga que invertir para ayudándolos a sanar; solo la mueve el amor que les tiene, para darles mucho cariño, atenderlos y cuidarlos; hoy en día NINA ya es la misma, comiendo mucho, durmiendo donde mejor le parezca y jugando con su amigo perro, que para el tamaño que tiene, es muy tierno y juguetón con ella.

      We do not know what will come for her in the future, but I have hope that everything will be fine, and I am sure of this, because she fell into good hands, a woman who gives everything for everything for her pets, regardless of the cost, the time she has to invest to help them heal; Today NINA is already the same, eating a lot, sleeping wherever she likes and playing with her dog friend, who for the size she has, is very tender and playful with her.

      Una de las cosas que amo, es ver que hay personas buenas que están dispuestas a luchas por los animales, que la crueldad no es total, quizás seamos minoría, pero tengo fé que algún día seremos mayoría, para que así nuestros animales, no solos los domésticos, si no todos en general, tengan un mejor planeta donde vivir.

       One of the things I love is to see that there are good people who are willing to fight for animals, that cruelty is not total, maybe we are a minority, but I have faith that someday we will be the majority, so that our animals, not only pets, but all in general, have a better planet to live on.
