What kind of content creator are you on Leo Finance, Hive and beyond?
The biggest daily challenge on Hive blockchain and established communities from here like Leo Finance, OneUp, CTP, POB, VYB or Splintertalk is finding and creating the right content to share. This is called "feeding the Content Monster". We succeed to keep it fed through content creation and curation. There is so much diversity and understanding of the blogging space from Hive and specialized domains within communities that we all put our mark in a different way. By doing so, there is only one question that remains to be settled: What kind of content creator are you on Leo Finance, Hive and beyond?
First of all, we can broadcast our content directly on Hive blockchain for a wider audience regardless of its domain. But if we want to get more traction and be more focused will direct the content through specific tags to domain communities. Of course, the subject should be relevant to those and this way we can put our mark on what we are passionate and write about. Whether we are professional in a specific domain, have enough knowledge about it or not, there are different types of content creators.
The Expert
The Expert is a content creator with a vast knowledge of the domain addressed in the posts. This is achieved either through experience or from the research done on various projects. Sometimes the content might be quite complex as the creators might oversee that they need to write in a way that readers are able to understand and assimilate the information.
The Networker
The Networker is a content creator very active in different communities that exchange ideas, information, gossip and speculation first hand and they know things before the "market". They write about the events that will follow or happen lately and which could bring value out of that. They are very communicative and engaging and help to spread the word beyond community limits.
The Observer
The Observer has an empiric view on many things and can approach most of the topics that are thrown at them. They have the ability to understand things fast and present the general idea. They have great capacity and they bring value by bridging communities as a whole through their global vision.
The Visualizer
The Visualizer focuses on things that are easy to understand from a picture, an info-graphic, a chart or a table. Such content creators present reports, achievements, stats and they have the ability to give different interpretations to existing data.
The Convincer
The Convincer is a natural salesperson which has the right words put in his content to direct the audience in a certain direction. Whether if it is hype or based on real facts, he will also be able to drive people towards the subject of its content.
The Shitposter
The Shitposter is a lazy content creator that simply wants to get something there without any work or thinking into it. Simply throws something like content, with barely a few words, maybe a picture and that's all. Sometimes his content can be funny but in most cases, it doesn't bring any value.
Myself, I think I have a little bit from different content creator types like The Networker and The Visualizer and hopefully nothing from The Shitposter (although probably at least once we have thrown some trashy content out there. I like to engage in Leo Finance community and on Hive, be up to date and share new information with others, while keeping track of my goals and presenting different achievements along the way.

I am "Toruk". And this is all I want to be 🙂
That is quite true, Toruk is so powerful that creates content from thin air. ;))

Haha, a one of its kind! Truly unique!
I also see parts of myself in each of those, except the shitposter.

Indeed, most of us find common ground with different types of content creators.

I think you missed one important category: a sort of shitposter evolution, I post silly content about Splinterlands, but I don't think they are useless and I spend a lot of time creating them, to grow up a community you should never underestimate (in my modest opinion) the power of smiling and "trending".
Here's an example, it's a simple post, but I spent hours doing it, and I like the result.

You are right on that, probably The Creative should be the one covering such content.

At the same time, I agree with you about the Shitposters, there's a lot of posts that are just garbage to earn rewards, totally useless and sloppy, copy-pasted a link.
It should be created a downvoter curator, to reduce the "shit posts"
I think I am a mix of multiple creators types, but there's always room for improvement and to mix things up.
I mean, I have just recently started to share gameplay videos for instance, which in itself doesn't take long to publish. I just copy & paste my previous post and change a video url. That's all there is to it.
Some would probably say that it's nothing but pure garbage while others might find those videos awesome. There's a lot of time involved to share them though, even if the actual post takes less than a minute to publish.
The steps are as follows:
As the videos are ~1 hour long, they take roughly 20-30 GB each and it takes time to upload them as well. So we're talking several hours per post, just to get everything I need before I publish them.
That being said, I have often made reports (and still do) about organic traffic and optimized content so I think it's neat to "do my own thing" and that I am able to share whatever I want to. That's the whole point of the different communities in my opinion. That I can be "all over the place".

These, if are how-to videos or detailing strategies and so, might be a little bit of The Expert. He's the one knowing a domain pretty well (gaming in this instance) and posting about it.

I'm the lazy one. Write 1 article per month.

With many interests, passions and the absolute need for options rather than repetitive content creation of the same kind, I'm a healthy mix of: The Expert, The Convincer, The Visualizer, The Observer, The Networker...
Shitposting is not my cup of tea. I already have problems pressing the publish button on a post with less than 500 words, it feels like too little effort.
I try to be better than that, and still try to keep improving my content creation every day.

I think I am Observer, where I like to post about topics that I have observed in my real life as well as I have some knowledge about it.
Loved, specially the shitposter, one thing tho, where are the source of the images, i loved one of them and i would love to use it, it is pixabay?
Love it, specially the shitposter, im more of a observer with bits of networker; one thing tho, where are the source of the images, i loved one of them and i would love to use it, it is pixabay?
Is there a definition for someone just going with the flow? I honestly don't know what I will be writing tomorrow when I go to sleep. If a good idea doesn't come to mind I simply won't write anything.
IRL I have to pretend to be an expert even though I don't really want to. The pay is just better when you try to act professionally. Organic content > optimized content as far as I am concerned. I'm well aware this will never be a reality but one can hope.

Interesting post my friend
@behiver
I am still trying to work out what kind of content creator i will be yet.
Especially as it was not what i planned in doing.
Just trying things out getting involved.
Have a blessed day:)
I would like to put myself as an Expert when I write about Splinterlands or Sports related content, when it comes to Finance, Creativity, I feel I am still not there to be an expert.
So, I would say a mixed content writer, may be The Observer will be a bit more appropriate one for me :)
Have a great day :) and Advance New Year wishes to you and the readers :)

I like to think that I'm a mix of all the types, maybe except for the Shitposter. But that's not up to me to judge.
I guess nothing is as black and white as it seems. There is always a large gray area, and the lines in between are not tight, but merge into each other. In other words, it's also kind of how someone else looks at the post.
And since not everyone likes to read long posts, some are happier with just a few sentences that clearly tell you what it's about... what is a shitpost for some, can be valuable content for someone else.

A little bit of column A.
A little bit of column B.
And a little bit of shit posting thrown in for equal measure. I think that we all have a little from each section but we choose the path of least resistance.
Anybody can be the expert with enough work but that takes a lot more effort. You need to put in the work to make it look good.
Shitposting is easy but low reward so there is pro and cons to any approach. A bit of each goes a long way for me.

Dear @behiver,
The current HiveBuzz proposal will expire in a few days.
Do you mind supporting our proposal for 2022 so our team can continue its work next year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.

Thank you. We wish you a Happy New Year!
Honestly, I'm still discovering myself but I find the networkers appealing

I am the Experiencer. The type of content creator that has experiences and shares them with his readers :-)
