Three Days Leftovers Food
This was really heavenly, no need to cook and much time to enjoy, so no need to complain ;-) For the birthday party we had probably baked way too much and also from the gyros and the tsatsiki was much left over, therefrom the whole family well fed.
Completely crazy but true: On Monday we remembered that we still have a strawberry cake in a refrigerator in the basement, we had totally forgotten on Sunday at the celebration!
And from the unfortunately failed chocolate / almond slices is also very much left, are now very small pieces, but delicious to snack on the side :-)

Aber das war wirklich himmlisch, kein Zeitaufwand zum Kochen sondern einfach nur genießen, also kein Grund sich zu beschweren ;-) Für die Geburtstagsfeier hatten wir wohl viel zu viel gebacken und auch von Gyros und Tsatsiki ist sehr viel übrig geblieben, davon hat sich nun die ganze Familie gut ernähren können.
Völlig verrückt aber wahr: Am Montag ist uns eingefallen, dass wir noch eine Erdbeer Torte in einem Kühlschrank im Keller haben, die hatten wir am Sonntag bei der Feier total vergessen!
Und von den leider missglückten Schoko/Mandel Schnitten ist auch sehr viel übrig geblieben, sind nun sehr kleine Stücke, aber lecker zu nebenbei naschen :-)
Und morgen ist es dann wieder an der Zeit etwas neues zu kochen. Es war auch ein super schöner Ausklang für das große 80er Geburtstags Wochenende. Fast eine Woche lang Kuchen, wer hat das schon?
And tomorrow it's time to cook something new again. It was also a super nice finale for the great 80 birthday weekend. Almost a week long cake, who has that?

Die Mandelschnitten sehen eigentlich aus, wie Brownies. Schmecken die ähnlich?
Das erinnert mich daran, als ich das erste Mal Brownies gegessen habe. Disneyland Paris 2001. Wahnsinnig teuer (damals noch in Franc), aber so saftig, süß, mit Walnüssen und zerlaufender Schokolade.
