Despite a 40-year friendship, one day "la china," my friend since my youth, walked out of my life.

My father died at the age of 108, and she was offended because we didn't take her with us to the village to drink alcohol at the funeral (a typical village thing).

Over the past 15 years, I've lost 12 relatives, and honestly, sometimes within weeks or months of each other. So much so that I missed the funerals of two of my brothers, several nephews, and a brother-in-law because my nerves couldn't take it anymore.

So, sorry to disappoint you, my friend, but no rum for you this time, no publicity please.

Mi papá murió a la edad de 108 años y ella se ofendió porque no la llevamos con nosotros al pueblo a beber alcohol en el funeral (algo típico de los pueblos).
