Road Rage in the Digital Age

Stake! What does it mean? What does it do?

Curating is fun until you actually disagree with a 'reward' . Then usually you get stupid downvote wars over content having nothing to do with the actual content itself. Oh my Gosh someone downvoted! Let's go to war! I would liken it to road rage.

Maybe we should call it 'Stake Rage', or 'Crypto Rage'. Revving that engine hard! Tailgating because you are red with anger. SELL that shit!

It's amazing how people get triggered. Even fight in Discord? Downvote on the chain!

"Not laughing now" - while one has NOTHING to do with the other. Mind set is everything. This is my business this is my livelihood. This is when the stakes get higher and emotions run deep. We all know those rage quitters; hell I have been there before. Youtube doesn't silence they just de-monetize. Same on these old crypto blogs. Now of course you could stay quiet and never comment or downvote. Probably the best solution for milker's to milk.

Think decentralization takes away tyrants? If you buy up enough of anything you can sway and manipulate all you want. How many whales upvote their own shit-posts from automated bot accounts. Well they have the knowledge, and they have the 'power' to do so. Taking advantage of a system is fine as long as you do not destroy the infrastructure. I remember the anger when it came to paid bought upvotes. Some users said it's not what the system was designed for, and another whale said this is the current design to get more coin. Two equally valid views.

Yah that useless information sometimes get $20-$25 a pop. You don't have to do much and try downvoting that!

Remember the flat earth whale wars on Steem? The comments section was epic!
Maybe Haejin and Bernie? Stupidity cannot be removed from the blockchain. Of course we have infallible ledger systems in place but that does not remove the human element.

Could you imagine living in the 'cloud' and taking a gun and finding the owner of a post because you got 'downvoted'. Well I guess when 'money' is involved people get pretty worked up. Almost like the 'woke' wallets! Imagine that, the digital age is no different than the dark ages. Your have the lords and the serfs.

What's the point of this post? I don't really know. People being people I guess. Human beings can be charitable, exemplary, and of course greedy and petty. Let's put this simply, if your blood pressure rises because of a downvote; you lost. I'm not perfect I have lost as well. The takeway is that you should build around that premise. Don't like the way you are 'earning'? Try a different avenue. Even blockchain gaming could be fun; until you lose a round. Life is short and people need to choose what should really make you angry. We all need to accept the fact that even decentralized systems are manipulated by human emotion.

Nothing is perfect even though people are trying to level the playing field. First mover advantage is everything and sometimes you cannot help the personality behind the whale. Of course if you can't beat them join them. Sometimes I do, and sometimes I just don't care. Sometimes we just want others to dance for us just for the entertainment.

In the early days of the platform Bernie and a few others did a lot of the downvoting, back then referred to as flagging and he usually did it in anger with mean words. As a result he set that into the culture, some type of a weird power thing, where downvoting is down with mean words and accusations.

That seems to be fading now. Most downvotes are not a big deal unless you have an over-zealous huge account repeatedly zeroing smaller accounts.

It seems like a more level headed maturity is going into curation these days and fun is returning.

Time was this little post of your's would have gotten the flaggots all in a flag rage, now, not so much.
Life is better than before the hardfork from the stinciness.

It appears we are to be allowed our own ideas much more so than before the fork.

"We all need to accept the fact that even decentralized systems are manipulated by human emotion."

I don't accept that it has to be this way. There is a solution i think. It's called The Matrix-8 Solution. It is a community governance system with the power residing at the bottom of the pyramid which uses an anonymous concentrated consensus mechanism and a trusted reputation system.

Once we find enough people to support then test within a community then create a DApp, it can then expand to other communities and eventually could be used for level one, thereby brining the ability for equitable changes to code with whole Hive community consensus.
