Happy Valentine's Day .. Love Molly
I Was Trying For A Special Valentines Day Shot ..
In order to properly mark the special day and give you a nice cute photo like the one below of Pepper. Unfortunately Molly was having no parts of this crap. Either she doesn't like Valentines Day or she doesn't like flowers. I'm not ruling out the fact that she doesn't like heights either.. Especially when she's sitting on top of a glass tabletop! Okay, in hindsight I sort of see where I may have gone wrong with this one.
Here is that cute shot of Pepper I was able to capture several years ago. He was always cute like that and would ALWAYS pose for me.
I Made Her Comfortable..
But that wasn't enough. I placed the closest thing I had near me on the table for her to sit on.. my jacket. She was happy that there was something soft to sit on, but she didn't like anything else about this photo shoot. All she did was shake and look to the floor while lowering her head.
She is smart enough not to jump while I am near. The shaking got worse even as I tried to assure her in soft subtle voices that she would be fine. I tried to get her to look my way by using all of the normal go to stuff like "Cookie", "Mommy", "Look who's here", and stuff like that. Nope she wasn't interested in words.. She wanted down and out of this situation.
So she did what any pissed off dog would have done.. turned her head and ignored me.
Yup. That's The Money Shot I Guess..
Then I said.. "Do you want down?" and at that point she turned her head and I took the shot!!! Best one of the bunch and it was our Valentines Day WINNER!!! Best we could do today. Not a Pepper type shot, but hey.. after all it's Molly we're talking about here. She's not known for ever looking at the camera.
The Attempt Did NOT Go Unrewarded ..
After all that shaking and concern, she deserved a cookie. After all I did use the word several times. After I placed her onto the floor, she swatted a few times and I gave her some of the good stuff. Vanilla Oreos.. Yummmm.
I Also Took A Few Orchid Shots ..
But those didn't come out that good either. I was sort of rushing things and will gather some good ones, with a nice dark background, later on I suppose.

Looks like the orchids are coming along pretty well. Molly was probably thinking to herself why does this guy keep trying? Our dog rarely spends time with us anymore. She just wants to be alone on the couch either upstairs or downstairs. We don't even try to make her stay in the bedroom with us at night anymore. It is a little sad, but we just want her to be happy.
They are. They are doing surprisingly well given the dry conditions in the house this time of the year. Woke up with a nose bleed this morning.. That's how dry it has been.
Awww.. Poor Jovi feeling her years I think. Sort of sounds like Molly a little. She tends to want to be left alone, but not that alone. She wants us home all the time, but just to leave her alone while home. haha. crazy dog. She'll be 14 in July, so this sort of activity, or lack there of, is expected.
Give Jovi hugs for us! 😊
Will do! Jo is just about 13 so yeah, she is getting up there. You can tell it is harder for her to get up and down than it used to be. We have a whole home humidifier in our house, but it still gets pretty dry during certain times of the year.
Solo cute Molly it's a shitsu right? I had a shitsu named Carlotta i miss her so much , are really lovely dogs.
Yes! You are correct. She is a Shih Tzu. And part Princess (wink wink) 😁. She is a great dog. We had another one, Pepper was his name. He died last year and we are all still very heart broken. He was the leader of the pack and since his passing she has been a little lost without her big brothers direction and protection. She is a bit of a runt a 7 lbs (3kg). Pepper was more like 13 lbs or 7kg.
