Strawberry Steamed Bread and Chocolate Vanilla Toast

A delicious snack when you are hungry is the right solution for your stomach. When you feel hungry, sometimes it can affect your mood. Your emotions become unpredictable and make you feel like something is wrong. Eating good food can sometimes fix a bad mood. Hunger can make our emotions unstable. So, we should pay more attention to the condition of our bodies, especially when we are hungry.
Last Saturday night, I bought some snacks because my stomach couldn't hold the hunger. As usual, I ordered through the GOJEK application, where I still have many discount vouchers that I haven't used. In addition to saving time for other activities, I can also save money from the discounts I get.
I ordered a portion of toast with half vanilla and half chocolate for IDR 19.000 ($1,28). To get a discount using the existing discount voucher. I have to order a minimum of IDR 25.000 ($1,69). So, I added another order with the Strawberry-flavored Steamed Bread for IDR 10.000 ($0,67). After calculating the total (the price of food and fees) I only had to pay IDR 24.000 ($1,62) for my snack.
Steamed Bread
It's my first time eating steamed bread. As far as I know, this bread was once popular among food lovers, especially by the younger generation when this bread was on the rise. I've always wanted to eat this bread. But, well, it's the first time I've been able to try it. Usually, people call this bread Rokupang (Roti Kukus Panggang) or toasted steamed bread. Like toast, this bread has a variety of fillings that you can choose according to your taste, such as chocolate, vanilla, srikaya, blueberry, strawberry, cheese, peanut, and others. This time I ordered a bun with a strawberry flavor filling.
In my opinion, the taste of this bread is unique, a mix of flavors in one bite. You can see that the top of the bread is so shiny and mushy. When you bite the outside of the bread, you can feel the savory and salty taste of the melted grated cheese. Once chewed, you will feel the sweet taste with a slightly sour taste from the strawberry jam. The texture of the bread itself is very soft. By eating just one, I think it's enough to fill my small stomach because the bread is quite thick and big. For my next order, I think I should try another flavor.
Toast
I haven't eaten toast in a long time. And yup, I ordered again for my Saturday night this time. The sweet combination of vanilla and chocolate. Half of it is bread with vanilla jam, and the other half is the chocolate jam. For this toast, I could only finish half of it because I was already full, whereas previously I had eaten steamed bread.
When compared and told to choose, I think I will choose steamed bread with a softer and richer texture of the bread. But for the size, I choose toast because of the portion. And it would be better if eaten to share. In addition, each has its taste. So if you're interested, you can try each one yourself.
