Making Simple Corn Fritters

One of the things I like when I'm at home. Is that I don't have to think about what I'm going to spend. It's different when I'm in a boarding house alone. I have to take into account every expense that I will use because of the limited income I get. At home, when I want to eat something, I only have to make sure the ingredients to use are available. Yesterday, my mother bought two kilograms of corn which was fresh and still wrapped in the husk. Not wanting to be bothered but still wanting to make snacks, my mother made simple corn fritters. Because our family loves to eat a variety of snacks, we immediately made corn fritters as soon as my mother came home from work around 11 am. Not all corn is used to make corn fritter. In the two kilos of corn bought yesterday, there was six corn in it. To make corn fritters, we used four corns, and the rest will be used to make soup tomorrow.
Ingredients:
- 4 Corns
- 1 scallion
- Wheat Flour
- 1 pack of spices
- Water
Softened seasoning:
- 4 shallots
- 2 garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 pecan
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander
- Salt
To make your corn fritters, you can adjust according to taste. You can add celery leaves and some vegetables to make it taste more festive. However, since we were short on some ingredients, we only used the ingredients listed above.
Clean and comb the corn
The first thing to do is to separate the corn from the husk. Peel the outer skin of the corn and clean it from the fine hairs attached to the corn. Then wash it clean. If it is clean, then comb the corn into the container using a sharp knife.
Slice the scallions
When the corn has been combed, puree the scallions in thin slices and mix in the bowl. Besides being used as a flavoring in food, the leek is a complement to the dish itself.
Puree the Seasoning
Peel the garlic and shallots from the skin and wash them thoroughly. To smooth it, we still use millstone. You can use a blender if you don't want to bother. Puree Garlic, Shallots, Candlenut, Pepper, Coriander into one and add a little salt.
Mix all ingredients
After the spices are smooth, mix all the ingredients, especially the seasoning in a bowl and make a dough by adding flour little by little. Add water and adjust to the flour entered. Do not make the dough too runny or too hard so that the dough will form when frying. Stir so that the corn, spices, and flour are well mixed by adding water little by little.
Fry on medium heat
The last step before the corn fritters can be enjoyed, fry the dough by inserting the dough using a spoon into the pan over medium heat. Wait until cooked or has changed color to golden yellow. If it looks cooked, drain it to separate the oil from the corn fritters and wait for it to cool.
Corn fritters is ready to be enjoyed. For a snacks, it will be more delicious when eaten by a crowd. We like to eat snacks when we are together at home, one of which is corn fritters. Besides being cheap, making your snacks will save expenses and can fill everyone's stomach. You can try making your own at home with available ingredients.
