#mushroommonday - A Chicken Stacked -

My first Mushroom Monday
I thought I would start with this shot first. I liked how it was in front of a green lichen covered rock. The green on the rock added a subtle color to the nice golden tans of the mushroom. I have no idea what kind of mushroom these are, but this one wanted to stand out from the crowd below:
The crowd, these guys and gals, just could not step out on their own. They had heard stories of the Stacked Chicken Shroom, that he would go around taking bites out of the other mushrooms, that he had become a cannibal of the mushroom variety. So they all hovered together in fear of what lay lurking on the outskirts of their little safe mushroom domain.
The had seen the nips and bits taken off the wanderer above them, he thought the would be safely camouflaged by the green lichen rock, but all it did was make him stand out for the;

My little tribute to the #mushroommonday tag, and no I did not try any virtual taste of @balticbadge's Magic Mushrooms I do recomend you visit that link and maybe play along if you have mushroom pictures or heck he might even enjoy a magic homemade mushroom song too.
I can hear it now, a little red and white mushroom singing, eat me, free me, let me take thee, take thee, to a place they feed me, just eat me..... well I'm not a song writer. have fun.

You almost have a fairy ring going with those mushrooms. I think the common name might actually be fairy ring mushroom for these.
