Greetings friends!

When, on one of the postage stamps from the World Fair "EXPO-75", Okinawa series, issued in the USSR in 1975, I saw a duck, I was very surprised, but, even more, I was surprised to see a Damselfish (Chrysiptera hollisi) fish, on a postage stamp with a face value of 20 kopecks of the USSR.

Yes, apparently, the government of the USSR decided to surprise, not only those present at the EXPO 75 exhibition, but also its own citizens, who could not understand what the fish Damselfish (Chrysiptera hollisi) had to do with the Soviet Union.

Surely, this fish has never been among the commercial fish species, or, it was supplied to the tables of only the top of the government. Ordinary people did not see blue fish on store shelves, more likely, they could see blue chickens that died a natural death, or they lay in the refrigeration chambers of the bomb shelter for more than thirty years.

In a word, the choice of this fish as an image for a postage stamp with such semantic content is very strange, perhaps the artist who painted these images, did poorly at school and did not know well the inhabitants of the seas and oceans washing the shores of the Soviet Union.

In theory, here we should have seen a species of fish that needs protection in view of excessive fishing.

This postage stamp completes the World Fair "EXPO-75", Okinawa series of stamps.

This postage stamp has received 4,400,000 copies in galleries.

For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
