A quaint place in the oldtown - Annecy - France
A very picturesque and artistic place in our town of Annecy is the small place called "passage de l'ile", This place is located at the back of the *Palais de l'Isle" (palace of the island 😅), which is the building of the ancient prisons,
and even if it's a rather small place, there is much to admire everywhere so I will offer you a 360 ° tour in photos ^ _ ^
of course, the buildings are very old and a little damaged, but especially since they are a little narrow and dark passages, there are degradations which are the work of time and pollution (for the visual aspect) but also urine against the walls (for everyone to enjoy the olfactory aspect ...😒)
yet in the midst of all this, we find real interesting pieces that only ask to live under our gaze ...
seeing you makes me happy
Here we see the back of the old prisons, which are now a museum ...
I showed you the front of the prisons in a previous post which it is the most photographed place in our city 😉
To our right we see the café des arts, and as today was their closing day, I was lucky enough to photograph their storefront with the shutters closed, which allows you to admire the paintings on them ✌️
and there by this charming opening of the gate on the canal, we can see a part of the old town
A little recoil to allow you a little more depth on the spot ...😉
and when you leave this square the vision is magical because you see the castle tower which dominates the old town
Et voilà, I hope you will have enjoyed this little picture tour in this very small place which conceals many pleasures for the eyes ... 😍

I don't think that I saw that passageway when I visited Annecy. I like the artwork, it's really nice. Great photos as usual.
This is indeed a very small walk very easy to miss, and usually greatly crowded because of the cafe, it was a real chance today to capture it empty like this.. 😉 thanks for your visit @leaky20 !
What a wonderful little piece of Annecy! Even the less than admirable acts ! The prison, I can see why that would be a favorite. It is a piece of beauty.
I love this show of the little winding paths that make up the walk, twisting, bringing you to yet another surprise that is held, just for you.
Thank you so much, Barbara! @barbaraorenya! This is absolutely special!

Upvoted 👌 (Mana: 80/100) Liquid rewards.
The moment I saw the place empty this morning, I knew it was my chance to have many good photos without the usual crowd at the terrace of the cafe 😄 and also usually, you do not see the art painted on the shutters so I killed two birds with a stone 😬
Thank you very much for your appreciation and the generous tipu my dear !🥰
This is one lovely old cobblestone bit of history I would enjoy walking around @barbara-orenya, such a find to photos the artwork on the closed shutters. Thank you, it was a fun walk.

Cobblestones and tiny passages, quaint buildings under castle wall covered in wonderful art to cheer up the old region, a lovely magical walk with you today Barbara.
Your words of appreciation are always so enjoyable @joanstewart...😊
Tempat yang bagus
Terima kasih banyak @davidmuhammad 😉
The buildings are old and seem to be needing some colour but yet there's a sweet calm feeling about the place. Beautiful. Thanks for the tour 😊
@nevies 😉
Annecy's "passage de l'ile" might smell of urine but to the eye the sights are splendid! We will pinch our noses closed just in case...
Not a tourist in sight until almost the end of your post. Is that normal or due to the pandemic?
"It's Time to Unfuck the World" 😀
I think it is past time!⏳🌐⌛
You are a truly brilliant photographer! @barbara-orenya
Yes please, pinch your nose closed 😄
I'm always reaching to have the places empty of people but not always succeed...this time I was lucky and it has nothing to do with pandemic thing, there are still a lot of tourists in Annecy, but this place is not a very known walk way, so I waited and took photos only when there was almost nobody 😉
Beautiful Beautiful Annecy! You do such a fantastic job of showing off it's loveliness!
I'm probably in love of my city...😁
my dear !
