A few nights ago, I bought straw mushrooms or Volvariella volvacea from a mushroom dealer in my city. At first I was hesitant to buy mushrooms because it was late and I thought the mushrooms must not be fresh anymore. But after thinking about it, I finally bought straw mushrooms for me to cook with noodles and I took edible mushrooms that had been wrapped in a small box.

Volvariella volvacea or commonly known as straw mushroom is a type of mushroom that can be eaten in Asia. Straw mushrooms are widely cultivated, there you can easily find straw mushrooms in Asian cuisine.

Volvariella volvacea (also known as paddy straw mushroom or straw mushroom) is a species of edible mushroom cultivated throughout East and Southeast Asia and used extensively in Asian cuisines. They are often available fresh in regions they are cultivated, but elsewhere are more frequently found canned or dried. Worldwide, straw mushrooms are the third most consumed mushroom. wikipedia

After buying mushrooms, I went to a noodle stall in my city to cook mushrooms with my favorite noodles. There you can see some photos of straw mushrooms being cooked by a noodle seller in one of the stalls in my city.

Here are some photos of mushrooms or Volvariella volvacea that I share as my contribution to #FungiFriday hosted by @ewkaw.
