FUNGIFRIDAY: Psathyrella Candolleana
While I was out in the field a few days ago, I shot some Psathyrella candolleana mushrooms. They are a member of the Psathyrellaceae family of fungi that grow on the roots of banana tree trunks and come in a variety of colors. They grow in several colors, including white and brown.
Psathyrella candolleana mushrooms are edible mushrooms. Although they are small mushrooms and look tempting to eat, I have never tried them. For those of you who are curious about it, you can try it, but I don't recommend it.
While it is edible and may have a good flavor, it is not recommended due to its thin flesh, alleged poor culinary value and consistency, as well as difficulty in identification. Wikipedia
On this lovely Friday, I'm sharing some photos of Psathyrella candolleana mushrooms as my contribution to #FungiFriday hosted by @ewkaw.

I wouldn't recommend picking any mushroom you are 100% sure of.
You have some little buggers on one :)
Happy #Fungifriday!
