Southeast & Northwest

If you're thinking about a landscape in some eastern country... You've made a serious mistake.
This is the north-west of the Leningrad region.
The high bank of the Vuoksa River.
The turbulent current gradually "lifts" the sandy shore.

More precisely, the shore is standing still, but the bottom of the river is gradually sinking lower and lower.
Of course, there is a limit to this process.
It is caused by the levels of the river upstream and the lake into which the river flows.

However, this lake can be called a large riverbed or its wide overflow.
Eventually, the river flows out of this lake and flows into the Ladoga Sea (lake).

And the oriental gazebo attracts my attention.
I'll have to visit her sometime.
