Cast iron bridge

Bolshoy Konyushenny Bridge over the Moika River in St. Petersburg.

I have driven through it many times by car, but sitting behind the wheel you see first of all the road surface, markings, road users...

This time we were walking along the Sink on foot and I had a camera with me. Finally I saw this bridge in its full beauty.

This is an old completely cast-iron bridge. Artistic cast iron casting. Now such bridges are no longer being built.

1828, this is one of the oldest bridges in the city. Moreover, a wooden bridge has stood in its place since 1753 :)
