It is hard to find a good Payment Gateway to receive overseas payments
For the past few days, I have been exploring several options to find a good alternative for PayPal. I did not have a pleasant experience with Paypal and it is also very hard to use their website in case we have some problems. Email communication is the only way that helps but there again, they don't give proper answers. My account is in a suspended state for a very long time. It was showing me error messages in the dashboard and after that now they are not even allowing me to log in.
When I looked for answers it directed me to their support desk and their support desk asked me to log in which is where the problem is for me. It is so stupid. Now after this incident, I have started listing out several reasons why Paypal is not a good payment gateway option. They charge close to 5% fees on the payments received. In spite of all these, I don't understand how Paypal is still the best service across the world.
I was looking out for alternatives and came up with a few. Today I explore stripe as an alternative for Paypal. It asked me to fill out all my details including the tax details but after everything was done, it was not usable. I had to create an invoice and send it to someone to pay me but they were unable to make payment because I'm from India and looks like I have to own a business to receive payments. I was wondering why would they want me to spend like 2 hours on their website to open an account. If they had told me this earlier, I would have not even bothered to open an account on Stripe. That was the next horrible experience for me.
The next option was to receive payment through Upwork. But I was surprised to see the fees. If someone is creating a project and hiring someone, they initially charge close to 20 percent and gradually reduce this. This made me feel that even Paypal was better. With this, I'm still stuck and I don't know what other options are available. I feel sad that everything here is complicated. Tomorrow I'm going to try our Payoneer. That appears to be interesting but only when I give it a try, I will know if that will work out or not.
If none of these work out, I have no other option than to go back to Paypal and clear all the problems with my account. I hate to do that but I don't think I'll have any other options left. This is also one of the reasons why we need cryptocurrencies for global transactions. Banks should evolve and come up with innovative and better options. We have all these popular banks in multiple countries. They should try and make it easier for individuals. We don't have to go through all these middlemen to send and receive payments probably if we use cryptocurrencies. We can easily transact the amount from one wallet to another. Hopefully, this becomes a reality in another 10 years down the line. Let's see.

Crypto wallets are the best when it comes to sending and receiving payments, but I recommend you try payoneer

I wonder if trying to use HivePay would be an option? I believe jongolson from CTP built it because he got banned from Paypal. Maybe you should hit up the CTP team and see if it works out for you.

I do not know if this is your case, but sometimes I have not been able to use some PayPal functions due to the interface that did not correctly manage the problems to be solved at the account master level. Have you tried using the mobile application instead of the website? or maybe vice versa. Or again, you can try to login by trying to access an internal account page directly instead of from the homepage. You won't solve the problem this way but you may be able to figure out the cause.
