Beautiful teak temple by the sea!

Last weekend, my family and I went to Phang Nga Province on the way, so before returning home, we stopped to pay respects at Wat Tha Sai or Wat Task Thammanawa Located at Amphoe Thai Mueang, Phang Nga Province, is a seaside temple on the beach of Tha Sai. In the past, this area used to be a forest. It is called Tha Sai forest and used to be an area of ​​the cemetery before because in the past, the villagers in this area and nearby when someone dies, the body will be cremated here.

It is a temple that stands out with a beautiful teak wooden ordination hall on the seafront, on the beach at Tha Sai, amongst the coastal pine forests in a shady atmosphere. The teak wood church is a Thai-style building. Especially the window panes are characterized by delicate carvings. One side is now open to see the sea. The exterior structure is replicated from Phra Ubosot Phra Aranyawasi, Tha Bo District, Nong Khai Province, to be applied built with wood. The gable apex of the church is carved by Chiang Mai craftsmen.

Inside the teak wood church, there is a wall covered with a pedestal altar. Upstairs is enshrined a Buddha image in the posture of preaching, carved from white jade stone. Indian art influence

สวัสดีคร้าาาา.... เมื่อสุดสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา บัวและครอบครัวไปเที่ยวพังงา ขากลับก็เลยแวะไหว้พระที่วัดท่าไทร ซึ่งเป็นทางผ่านระหว่างกลับบ้าน วัดท่าไทรอยู่ที่อำเภอท้ายเหมือง จังหวัดพังงา เมื่อก่อนบริเวณนี้เคยเป็นป่าช้าด้วยนะคะ ก่อนไปบัวไม่ได้อ่านประวัติ เพิ่งมาอ่านตอนเขียนโพสต์ ถึงแม้จะเคยเป็นป่าช้ามาก่อน แต่วัดสวยม๊วกกก.... เป็นอุโบสถที่สร้างด้วยไม้สักทั้งหลัง วัดแบบนี้บัวเคยเห็นแต่แถวทางภาคเหนือ วัดนี้ก็ได้ช่างไม้ฝีมือดีจากเชียงใหม่ค่ะ เป็นวัดที่อยู่ติดริมทะเล ท่ามกลางความร่มรื่นของต้นสน ภายในอุโบสถประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปปางปฐมเทศนาแกะสลักจากหินหยกขาว ซึ่งงดงามมากๆ
