Consistency is key

Today while scrolling through hive I came across an account with negative reputation. I couldn't help but wonder why? I found out it was because he was spamming whales with hateful comments simply because their posts had high rewards. I wanted to know why he was doing that, so I decided to check his posts.

I literally scrolled down to his first post (he's been on hive since the days of steemit) and read any post that seemed interesting. I've got to say his early posts where good. Some where undervalued, but I feel he was actually making progress. But as time went on he began to lose hope and started complaining. He started writing posts complaining that some people's posts were overvalued and got downvoted accordingly.

After that, he just stopped posting for a while. He came back and started posting only memes without even sourcing them. He continued to spam whale accounts with hateful comments and is still doing so now.

As I read through I felt jobless, but I learnt something. He gave up. If he had continued to write his quality posts, and interacted a bit more, who knows what he would achieved by now. He definitely wouldn't have a negative reputation now.

At that moment, I promised myself I would continue to consistently put effort into creating my posts, because I believe I can be successful on this platform.

Consistency is a very important aspect of life, not just hive. For example, who is more likely to see results faster :-

-The man who goes goes to the gym once a week for two hours

Or

-The guy who goes to the gym everyday for 30 minutes

I think you will agree with me when I say it's the guy who goes to the gym for 30 minutes a day.

Another example is the popular story of Thomas Edison. He reportedly tried a thousand times before eventually creating the lightbulb.

If you are reading this, I want to tell you that you shouldn't give up. Because consistency is the key to success. Keep trying.
