Shopping in the seafaring city

A pleasure to share with you readers a little of the dynamism that characterizes the city of Porlamar on Margarita Island, I usually visit the place because here we can find more affordable prices for food, here moves much of the economy of the island of Margarita. To talk about Porlamar is to talk about culture, in the center of it we can find outstanding works of the great artist Francisco Narvaez, everyone who passes through the Plaza Bolivar has surely seen this magnificent sculpture called "La Ronda" representing young people dancing, The San Nicolas de Bari Catholic Church, a beautiful architectural work that stands out among the oak and ceiba trees that surround Porlamar's Plaza Bolivar, adds to the religious and historical charm of the place.

Porlamar also has stores, by the way it seems to be recovering a little of its splendor trade which has been affected by the economic crisis in the country but now thanks to credit applications as CASHEA and others is gaining momentum for the benefit of the inhabitants of the island, along with tourists and visitors who can purchase clothing, appliances at a good price. Although the national currency is the bolivar due to inflation, merchants have seen in the dollar a way to protect their profits and prices are in bolivars and dollars.

My experience so far has been positive in terms of security, something very important from the Plaza Bolivar and its surroundings we can take buses or cabs to other commercial and tourist areas. I am a native of Valera, Trujillo State, since I arrived to this island of Margarita I fell in love with it and I can attest that places like downtown Porlamar are worth visiting if you want to enjoy experiences other than those offered by a shopping mall, to walk outdoors, among an urban landscape with natural elements made up of trees along the way.
